Has anybody read them? I watch Legend of The Seeker, ans it is based off of those books. If you've read them, please tell me what you think of them, and where to find them. Because I would really love to read them.
Thank you!!

I just started reading this series! They are so good! I got the books because I really like the TV show Legend of the Seeker, and I realized that the show was based off a book. I got the first book, Wizard's First Rule, at Border's. I finished it in a day, even though it's fairly long. I just couldn't stop reading! I haven't stayed up reading that late at night to finish reading a book since the seventh Harry Potter book came out. Unfortunately, I can't find the next book, Stone of tears, anywhere! I've been to Border's twice, but they don't have it. I've been meaning to go to another bookstore to find it, but until then, I've been re-reading wizard's first rule!

I've seen the first few episodes of Legend of the Seeker. I liked the show simply because there aren't enough fantasy-orientated television programs, however, I don't intend to read the books because the clichés in it would probably annoy me.

Some of the clichés in it are:
1) There's a prophecy saying that the main character can save the world, but he didn't know about his own powers/destiny until the wizard told him.
2) The old, wise wizard is the teenage boy's mentor.
3) The pretty, warrior girl is the hero's love interest.

You can call it "classic" fantasy, but it's too predictable for me to want to read it. I do plan to watch the rest of the episodes based on the novels, though! whee

Haha, I own them all now.
They were all at the book store across the street from my house.

And the show is SO off the story line of the books, it's ridiculous. I still have the two season of the show on my ipod, by I honestly don't know how Terry Goodkind can even put his name/book series on it.

I've heard that the books are better than the episodes, but that wouldn't surprise me since novels tend to always be better than films.
