Are you doing anything extra special for Easter this year? Do you have a special family tradition? Share with your fellow elves! whee
My Mum, sisters and I dye eggs the day before Easter. We used to hide them in the backyard on Easter Sunday and look for them, but we haven't for the past four years since Mum's neck got messed up in a car accident that wan't her fault. Dying them is fun anyway, though. Plus, we have other, more unique traditions.
On Easter Sunday we start the day with clues on our bedroom doors that lead to more clues until we finally find the hint that tells us where our baskets of chocolate are hidden. The youngest hunts for her basket first, and the rest of us follow her around to encourage her, laugh at her, and take pictures. The oldest (Mum) always has to go last, which is funny because in her family she was the youngest of the children and got to go first! It's a really fun tradition! ^_^ We eat a big family meal for lunch. Not as big as Christmas, but fairly large nonetheless, and it's yummy. 4laugh

We do our hunt a little differently. My little sister, little brother and I are really the only kids on my dad's side of the family. Every Easter my Aunt and grandma hide plastic colored eggs with different stickers on them throughout three rooms in the house. The stickers were picked out when we were all little so ones with Star Wars stickers are my brothers, Winnie the Pooh for my sis and Scooby Doo for me... The rules are if you find someone else's egg you can't tell them where it is exactly, but you can give them hints once you find all yours. This year I hit the "too old" to hunt for eggs age and I get to help hide them ^_^.

Min, the basket thing sounds like so much fun xd . When I was little, my brothers and I used to do that kinda treasure hunt thing for each other, but our prizes were generally a penny we found Hehe.
For spring break, we went to visit my family. Then we cam back and hung out around the house. On Easter, we cooked a large meal. Once Dad got home, we hunted our baskets. (I begged to be included, even if I am in high school.) Then we did this little easter egg hunt thing in the backyard. Quite fun!

Showren, the stickers sound cute. I'm sorry that you're considered too old to hunt. I'm old enough to write clues for other people now, but I still get to hunt for my own basket. Even my parents still hunt! biggrin
Suze, I'm glad that you had a good Easter, and still got to do some hunting. I wish that I could've visited far-away family, too.
