I was just chowing down on some leftover smashed potatoes from last night, but apparently I heated it up too much -touched my tongue, the heat made me inhale sharply, then the vinegar in the dressing got me, and caused me to cough my mouthful out and spatter it all over my desk and screen! I wish I could've seen it...

biggrin Delightfully hilarious! Do you have pictures?
Hmm, can't think of any vinegar related mishaps. There was an incident once when our manager was making some kind of wilted lettuce salad or something, and she put the ingredients, including the vinegar, in the microwave. Stank up the entire building.

Oh poor, Doressa. heart
The closest thing I have to a vinegar mess up is actually more like a vinegar misunderstanding. Lemme explain this. I am the only one in our family who seems to have this taste for vinegar. Now I don't mean straight vinegar. xp That's disgusting! What I mean is that if a food item contains vinegar I generally will eat it. 3nodding Anyway, we were out of tartar sauce, so I offered to buy some Kraft brand tartar sauce since it is less expensive than our normal Helman's brand. Well, we had fish one week and my brother, Steven, put a lot of tartar sauce (like always) on his fish; took one bite and said it tasted disgusting. He wondered what was in it and read that the first ingredient was vinegar and said that must be why it tasted so bad. I, on the other hand, like the Kraft brand better and I can't remember what the first ingredient was in the other brand, but whatever it is I don't like it. He and my mom did similar when I bought the vinegar and salt Pringles. Again I was the only one to like it.
Man, Doressa, we both needed cameras or pictures! xd 3nodding

I think Sheboygan's response was spot-on! Delightful indeed! As I'm a huge fan of vinegar, I can TOTALLY relate! While I've not had the exact same experience as Doressa, I've had a similar one while drinking a fizzy drink : I laughed while trying to swallow...there was coke EVERYWHERE - it even came out my nose. *ouchies* Messy, embarrassing, but it's hard not to laugh about it!!

I have laughed so hard when trying to drink many times. (mostly when watching television or talking with Steven -- he sure knows how to crack me up -- any more I preface to him "Let me finish drinking first!" 3nodding )
