I'm terribly out of succulent and flavourful sausages in my apartment, and I desire them so. What are good alternatives to delicious sausage? My want of sausage is as insatiable as the sun's thirst for water...
I'm making some gumbo very soon and I'd like to do sausages because it'll be quite more flavourful than chicken and I can't justify purchasing good fish for seafood gumbo right now. What are some alternatives?

Having wonderful sausage there isn't the same as having wonderful sausage here. Can you get said sausage here instead of there?

aretoo ...It's a little blue, but... (NSFW! Nekkidness!) It was only a matter of time until the wang jokes started up... and I guess I'm not counting the proletariat's, as the execution was a tad crude. As an alternative to edible sausage, you could use eat toast, or seasoned potatoes, or bacon, or add cinnamon to scrambled eggs (it's surprisingly good!).

Erverain add cinnamon to scrambled eggs (it's surprisingly good!). I'm currently hosting a contest in the ATG clan...
Wow, that sounds good!
...The prize is 5k. Why not swing by and check it out?

I like cinnamon in eggs... of course, I occasionally put a little cinnamon in my chili, too! ^_^
And please. Linny's initial post was SOOOOOOO "leading"... even if he wasn't intending it as such! mrgreen

Bratwurst - Sausage's much tastier cousin.

I prefer Octoberfest sausages. If they have too much fat or are too rubbery, they make me gag.
