ok... a rebus is a riddle or puzzle that uses letters, words or pictures to say something... and example of a simple rebus may include things like IOU... which we all know means I OWE YOU... another simple rebus that everyone uses is XOXOXO, which means hugs and kisses... sometimes the puzzle is a single word, sometimes it is a phrase or popular saying... and here is one that i will translate at the bottom of it...

one up on it is a common saying that means you have an advantage in a given situation... at least it is common here... and was common in Chicago... not sure about California though...
