*yanws* Hello...this is a thread to talk about the Fma Movie, Conqueror of Shamballa. If you haven't seen it...YOU SHOULD!!! Because it gives Fma its sort-of happy ending. And plus you get to see Ed and Al older. 3nodding And also, if you didn't watch it, this thread might as well be one huge spoiler. But whatever.
ANYWAY......here's a few things just to start off, because I've been thinking these things for a while, with no one to rant to....if any of you people could answer these questions or just say you don't know either, it'd make me happy. xd LOLZ
-This puzzles me a lot....O_o Ed is supposed to be one year older than Al throughout the series. Then, in the movie, when Al was first introduced, it said he was 13 years old, but Ed was 18 in the movie. What in the world happened? O_o (And Al's clothes design wasn't that original....lolz)
-How did Ed end up living with Alfons? That was confusing for me too. *is sad that nothing is explained in the movie*
-And how did Ed get the new replacement limbs from his dad? I mean, maybe he explained it, but I sure as anything was confused as soon as he said that. O_O
-I thought Noah was a huge betrayer...so how in the world did Ed forgive her just like that? He gets more mad at people calling him the "s" word.
-*looks at huge list of accumulated thoughts* One last thing.....yeah, I've accumulated a lot of thoughts over time because I've never had anyone to talk to about Fma. Who thought the ending was as sad as heck? Seriously, I thought it was sad that Ed and Al could never go back to the Amestris world again. crying And now Ed and Winry can't be a pairing.
Sorry this post was so long!!!! sweatdrop

I have the answers to a few of your questions. 3nodding
The reason why Alphonse is only 13 is because when his soul was attached to his armor, he did not age. So when Ed used the philosopher's stone to bring him back, he was the same age as when he tried to bring their mother back to life. (that's also why Alphonse did not have any memory of their journey together)
Hmm....I don't know how Ed met Alfons, but it sure must be something to meet the look-a-like of your only brother xD
I'm suprised that prosthetics were around back in 1923 (if they really are, I'm not completely sure if the movie was accurate about that) I remember in the last episode of FMA, Ed had his rusted out automail arm, which confused me because he lost both his leg and his arm. If I recall, when Ed tried to bring Al back, he was willing to sacrifice his limbs, but he wasn't supposed to lose both of them, only one. (Where did he get the automail anyway? question )
I guess Edward understood the situation Noah was in, I mean she was a gypsy in Nazi Germany. So he must have forgave her, because she had a really tough life (she was introverted because of her ability to read minds, so he must have pitied her)
I didn't like the ending sad I watched it 5 times just to realize "is this really it?" and so I got over it a little. Didn't they realize that they can never go back? I'm suprised why so many people love the ending, the ending wasn't really their goal from the start- Ed and Al wanted to get everything they had lost and return home. (that failed because they didn't return home, and Ed still had missing limbs : P )

Yay, you watched the movie!!! (so far, you're the only person I know who did)
Oh thanks!!! I've been wondering these things for a while. sweatdrop (well...since christmas....)
If I recall correctly.....it cost him his leg I think to see the truth or something and it cost him his leg to be able to bring his brother's soul back from the gate and attatch it to the armor. Memory's a little foggy. And plus since I didn't see the whole series yet, maybe some things are explained and I don't even know it.
For some reason, I never liked Noah. stare
And I HATED the ending!!! Seriously, I was so mad.....I mean, they could never see their friends again!!!
*thinks* Hmm..I don't know about you, but the movie made me cry....
Like, when Ed made the ship/blimp thing slash in half and Al's like, "OMG What are you doing!" and Ed's like, "Oh I have to go back and take care of things there and you have to take care of things here" and Al's like, "NOOOOOOOO ED!!!!!!" and Ed's all like, "Sorries..." and he left....
I WAS CRYING SO MUCH!!!!! crying crying *sighs*

Yeah, I was really disappointed and upset about the ending. A simple solution Ed could have done is go back to the other side of the gate, do all the things he needs to, go back to Ametris and there would be a perfectly happy ending. Yet he chose not to do so..... but then again, it would be hard to destroy the gate from the other side since it doesn't have alchemy. I feel bad for Winry, she waited two and a half years for Edward to come back, then he decides to leave with Alphonse without even saying good-bye. Now they're almost as good as dead to her sad (I have really high expectations for the manga though, I just know that the parallel universe trick won't be pulled out xD )
I was very confused as to when Ed got his arm and leg at the near end of the last episode. I'm not so sure about the equal exchange part, but isn't a little odd that he lost his same limbs again? Maybe he lost one for bringing Al back and one for going to the other side of the gate.

~{Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. This is alchemy's first law of Equivalent Exchange.}~Yea....*sighs at the ending* At least Winry has Den... Wow, you're right. O_o According to Equivalent Exchange, he's supposedly supposed to only loose one limb, but he lost both again....O_o I could understand he lost one for bringing Al back, but I don't see how he lost another for going to the other side of the gate; it's not like he actually said, "Oh, I wanna leave behind everyone I care about and go to the other side of the gate! I'll give you my arm/leg again!" It's funny, my mom said that at least in the end, Ed and Al were back together again (she watches Fma too) but still, it just didn't sit right with me. crying ~{Saruna-chan is Alphonse Elric's #1 fan.}~

I never really liked the movie crying It was a very disappointing ending. I am indeed happy that Ed and Al were once reunited again but now they left Winry when Ed went back to the gate...
Aweeeeeee, no more EdxxWin...
