This is a theory I have heard circling around but does anyone think that the bomb and the swan station have a connection? Daniel did say to bury it and surround it with lead or another mineral which slips my mind right now, and in the Swan station there was a huge magnetic wall which was underground. Also, maybe the button had something to keep the Nuke in check so that it wouldn't blow up like it did. Anyone think so to?

The only thing against that is that when the hatch imploded...then that should have made the bomb go off, too, right? But the explosion was not nearly humongous enough.

I'm thinking it may have had something to do with Desmond activating the fail-safe at the last second. The swan station might have had a special mechanism that could reverse the explosion of the bomb and maybe dampen the effect.
