*As those on deck stroll past his cabin door, they notice that it is open, and that the mage is curled up on a bed, burned patches of skin showing through black fur. He glances up at the watchers, then slams the door shut and locks it with his tail*

I was going for the sword of shadows. Sorcer? mate what happened who are you talking about tell me I'll get my Steroid Advil serum it will take the pain away(rushes to his cabin opens his drawers and grabs a bottle then rushes back) here I have it!

And I need no medication. What I need is to slay that blasted sorcerer. Interfering busybody. I almost had my target, too.

All I'm doing is trying to absorb something that will heal me. @Lyssan: You just had to steal the magic, didn't you? I could have absorbed this thing in three seconds if you hadn't. The sorcerer attacked me as I was attempting to "commandeer" a sword born of shadows, for the purpose of absorption. As to gemstones, they can be used as receptacles for magical energy...In this case, that of Earth, the healing element. I just can't absorb it with Lyssan gone.
