yah this year we are going to do the gladiator show its sutch a great show our drumline even arranged all the music we have some hecka great musical genioses in our band yah we used this show like 5 years ago and we are bringing it back because it was sutch a hit.

I don't even think we do winter drumline at my school...we do ensembles. Those are pretty fun. They're not at all like marching music though.

last year, our show was boring, it was called morning noon and night, but we made finals at world championships in dayton, so its all good. This year is going to be awesome though! Our shows about weather, and the tarp is all pretty and artistic and its a picture of the sky, and we are going to have cloud backdrops, and each marcher starts out with their own cloud.
the show starts with the pit playing soft pretty music you cant see the drumline yet, and the clouds are white. so you see the clouds moving around the floor, and suddenly you hear this thunder sound, and then the clouds start to turn around, and the backs are black and dark looking, and the drumlines all in black.
Then you move on to the next song, which is a thunder storm, and theres lots of thunder and loud crashing sounds. then the next song is a lightning storm, and on the drumlines back is yellow stripes, and you dont see the yellow until the lightning storm. you hear loud crashes, and the drumline turns around quickly to reveal flashes of yellow. then theres going to be a tornado, then the storms gonna slowly fade away. I cant wait!! except the musics gonna be fast (196 for the tornado). We had fast music last year, but Im on a bigger bass this year. oh well.

Ours last season was "Ghost Train" by Eric Whittacre(?), which got us CCGC championships. I don't know what we're doing this season, but I think it's in the "ska" genre. xd Sounds awesome to me already.

Our show is titled 3,5,7,9. Out whole show is going to go from 3:4 to 5:4 to 7:8 to 9:8. We are going to have a cool design on our floor with like triganles and pentagons and such. And the mallet instruments are going to move around on the different shapes as we change time signatures. =) I'm so excited!!1

Now our director finally set a theme called One word. It's cool and has this crazy xzylo that goes along with the tenors ^^ It's so awesume and IT's soo amazing and has this running bells part it the ballad ! that's so beautiful ^^
btw I get to play xylo I just hope the tenors don't rush!!

My Winter Percussion theme is James Bond.
The stuff sounds so cool and the drill is 96 pages for 3 songs.
I can't 'till we actually perform.
Side note: This is also the first time that I'll be marching, ever. I got switched from Auxilary Pit to Drumline (Bass 3).
