If you have any reference picture(s) of ANY of the character(s), please feel free to post them here and I'll add them to the characters they're of.
You can also just send the link to an episode which could provide (a) good reference picture(s) of either of the characters.

Also, please excuse my horrible English...;;

If anyone has information they think should be added or edited, feel free to do so!

Information is partly gained from Wikipedia, both the English and the Japanese sites, so the information in this section may not be 100% correct.

They seem to change the information about the Keroro Gunso/SGT Frog characters on there every now and then. (sometimes for the worse; who writes it anyway? :/)
Also, there are differences between the characters in the manga and in the anime. However, most of the information will be related to the anime, unless important facts are stated throughout the manga.

exclaim MAJOR SPOILER WARNING exclaim
Information on characters will be from the start of the series till its current state, so if you read this, IT IS AT YOUR OWN RISK.
(Sorry for being so rude...;; )

Keroro Platoon (Keroro Shotai ケロロ小隊)

Sergeant Keroro (Keroro Gunsō ケロロ軍曹) : voice actor: Kumiko Watanabe
Childhood friend of Giroro, Dororo (Zeroro) and Pururu.

His name derives from the Japanese onomatopoeia for the sound a frog makes; "kero kero" which translated means "ribbit ribbit".

Unlike the others, his resonance isn't just a repeat of the first two syllables in his name; his resonance sound is "gerogerogero...".

Corporal Giroro (Giroro Gochō ギロロ伍長) : voice actor: George Nakata (Jouji Nakata?)
(Chibi Giroro/Young Giroro is voiced by Akiko Hiramatsu who also voices Aki Hinata)
Younger brother of Garuru.
Childhood friend of Keroro, Dororo (Zeroro) and Pururu.

His name derives from the Japanese word "giro" which means "glare" or "to stare".

Giroro is afraid of ghosts to a point where he'll panic. He also holds a fear towards sea cucumbers.

Lance Corporal Dororo (Dororo/Zeroro Heichōドロロ/ゼロロ兵長) : voice actor: Takeshi Kusao
(Sometimes referred to as Corporal in the manga, his actual rank is however Private First Class; this could be due to the fact that a lot of the ranks were translated to fit with the American rank system)
Childhood friend of Keroro, Giroro and Pururu.

Dororo is the top assassin of the Keron Army's elite troop and the record holder of 7 wins in a row in the Space No. 1 Martial Arts Tournament. His name was originally Zeroro, but he changed it to Dororo after meeting Koyuki and becoming a ninja. He also then switched his former gas mask with a mask of fabric to cover up the lower part of his face.

The reason Dororo chose to become an assassin was Keroro's "idea"; as they were children and Dororo had to go all the way around on a swing, he thereafter landed on his feet perfectly, Keroro burst out "You're gonna be an assassin for sure!" which motivated him to become an assassin, from what he says himself.

He grew up in a rich family in a huge house with all kinds of expensive things, yet he claims that they're (him and his family) just "normal folks".

Private Second Class Tamama (Tamama Nitōhei タママ二等兵) : voice actor: Etsuko Kozakura
The youngest member of the platoon.

His name stems from the Japanese word "otamajakushi" which translated means "tadpole".

Sergeant Major Kururu (Kururu Sōchō クルル曹長) : voice actor: Takehito Koyasu
(Sometimes referred to as First Sergeant in the manga)
The second youngest member of the platoon.

Was formerly blue but changed colors to yellow after an incident involving a giant plate of curry rice as shown in "Chibi Kero: Secret of The Kero Ball!?" (Chibi Kero: Kerobōru no Himitsu!? ちびケロ ケロボールの秘密!?).

Garuru Platoon (Garuru Shotai ガルル小隊)

Lieutenant Garuru (Garuru Chui ガルル中尉) : voice actor: Akio Ohtsuka
(First Lieutenant in the manga due to the American army ranking system)
Older brother of Giroro.

His name derives from the Japanese word "garuru" which translated means "growl" or "growling".

Private First Class Taruru (Taruru Jōtōhei タルル上等兵) : voice actor: Akeno Watanabe

Recruit Tororo (Tororo Shinpei トロロ新兵) : voice actor: Kappei Yamaguchi
(Buck Private in the manga)

His name might be related to the fact that the shapes on his glasses are called toroids. His hat resembles a baseball cap.

Lance Corporal Zoruru (Zoruru Heichō ゾルル兵長) : voice actor: Kazuki Yao
(Corporal in the manga, his actual rank is however First Class Private; read the section about Dororo's/Zeroro's rank for more information)

Zoruru is "infamous" for speaking "backwards" in the manga; in the English translation, only certain letters were flipped over, yet in the original, entire kana and kanji had been flipped over.

Chief Medic Pururu (Pururu Kangochō プルル看護長) : voice actor: Satsuki Yukino
(Head Nurse in the manga)
Childhood friend of Keroro, Giroro and Dororo (Zeroro).

Shurara/Syurara Corps (Shurara Gundan シュララ軍団)

The Shurara/Syurara Corps originates from the Keroro Land magazine and consists of fan-made characters (also known as orikero's (ORIginal KEROnians/KEROnjins) who were the winning entries of a contest held in the Keroro Land magazine.

Some of these characters therefore changed appearances slightly as they were added into the anime.

Shurara/Syurara (シュララ) : voice actor: Norio Wakamoto (Hōko Kuwashima as Shirara)
Leader of the corps.

Shurara/Syurara is revealed to actually be Shirara, an old classmate of Keroro, Giroro, Zeroro and Pururu, in episode 203. He also has a crush on Pururu.

His helmet during his time as "Shurara" is rumored to actually be a planet eater.

Putata (プタタ) : voice actor: Kentaro Tone

User Image

Appearance: [Brush, normal] | [Back] | [Nyororo brush, open] | [Nyororo brush]

Appears as a black silhouette in episode (?)
Debuts in episode 161; "Putata & Mekeke, Zealous Killers" (?)

Putata's skin is naturally greenish yellow with red and green colored spots on his face, arms and legs, the green spot on his left cheek being in the same shape as his symbol. His eyes are two different colors, his right eye being red while his left eye is yellow. He wears a silver-ish helmet with two blue-tipped bolts on top. His symbol is a blue circle with 4 points pointing upwards, downwards and to each side with a round hole in the middle.

Putata is known to rhyme whenever he speaks, often followed up by "Yeah yeah yeah! Yo yo yo!". He also often chuckles the first two syllables of his name.

He has the ability to bring the drawings he create with his paint brush to life by snapping his fingers. His paint brush is however actually a Nyororo said to suck out the moisture of other Keronians which he then uses as ink to paint with; this of course means that he can run out of ink. The fact that Nyororos are super sensitive to curry led to Putata beingutterly "defeated" as his brush ate the plate of curry rice it was fed along with Keroro.

Mekeke (メケケ) : voice actor: Chō

User Image

Appearance: [Revealed] | [Mekepuppet analyzed] | [Mekepuppet levitating] | [Mekepuppet, strings cut]

Appears as a black silhouette in episode (?)
Debuts in episode 161; "Putata & Mekeke, Zealous Killers" (?)

Mekeke's skin is teal. He left eye is a golden yellow color. He wears a black "hood" over the upper half of his face, only revealing his left eye, the right side being covered up by a plate with a cross over it. His "hood" has two ears on it on the upper part of it. He also wears a black sleeveless shirt reaching down somewhere about his thighs. His symbol, as seen on his puppet, is a circle with a "+" in it.

Mekeke's ability is to take control of others in the form of puppeteering. He catches his opponents with strings which then become almost invisible, yet also leaving his "puppets" to float around in the air.

Thought to be Mekeke at first, his 4-armed wooden puppet is actually his weapon. Mekepuppet is a marionette-style wooden puppet which is always levitating, mostly upside-down, above the ground, using its puppeteering cross to do so. Each of its arms has e different "ability", one of them having a jagged sawblade instead of a hand, the other 3 arms having 3 claw-like fingers. Mekepuppet can turn its head all the way around, no matter if it's levitating upside-down or hanging horizontally in the air.

Mekeke is defeated as Mutsumi/623 (Saburo/326) reveals the real Mekeke with a can of red graffiti whereafter Dororo cuts the strings to the puppet.

Giruru (ギルル) : voice actor: Kunihiko Yasui
Appears as a black silhouette in episode (?)
Debuts in episode 169, part B; "Giroro, Beauty and the Liquid Keronian" (?)

Giruru's original name was Geruru, deriving from the Japanese word "geru" for the English word "gel". He's a mutant Keronian in liquid form who has the ability to turn others into liquid forms as well.

He's the older brother of Dokuku.

Dokuku (ドクク) : voice actor: Takeshi Kusao
Appears as a black silhouette in episode (?)
Appears in episode 177, part A; "Dokuku, Gas Keronian is No. 1" (?)

Dokuku was at first thought to be a ghost, yet it's revealed that he's actually the outcome of an experiment having turned him into gas form.

One of Dokuku's weaknesses is that he can't speak and he therefore has to possess people, apparently preferably through their rear, to speak through them. Otherwise, the only "speech" that comes from him is "Dokudokudoku..."

He's the younger brother of Giruru.

Kagege (カゲゲ) : voice actor: Toshio Furukawa

User Image

Appearance: [Back] | ["Shadow"] | [Dungeon 1] | [Dungeon 2]

Appears as a black silhouette in episode (?)
Debuts in episode 202; "Keroro, Final Worker" (?)

His name derives from the Japanese word "kage" which means "shadow".

He has white skin with blue flames on his lower face, "ears" and arms, his stomach is also blue. He wears a purple scarf which ends in a flame-like pattern like that on his body. His left, and only, eye has a blue "+" in it along with a blue edge around it. His symbol is a blue downward point with two curved spikes on the left side.
(In Keroro Land, his stomach was white whereas the flames ended just below his stomach, thereby also covering his arms. His legs had blue flames on them too, reaching to his knees. His scarf was also blue.)

For whatever reason, Kagege lives in the dungeon with various torture devices, including a guillotine, an electric chair, a "horse" and a steel plate with spikes.

Kagege's ability is to manipulate shadows and create "shadow clones" of his opponents, the shadows having the same strengths and weaknesses as their owners. Yet his ability is also his biggest weakness; when there's no light to create shadows, he becomes more or less useless, also, because his left glows continously, he's easy to find in the darkness. This led to his defeat by the Keroro Platoon who then beat him up and tied him up in ropes so he wouldn't escape afterwards.

Nuii (ヌイイ) : voice actor: Kurumi Mamiya
Appears as a black silhouette in episode (?)
Debuts in episode 188; "Nuii, Don't Abandon Me!"

Nuii has the ability to turn other's into plushie dolls by shooting "needles" from its arms. Nuii is said to actually be an abandoned Keron toy, brought to life by Shurara.

Gyororo (ギョロロ) : voice actor: Hiromi Hirata
First appears as a black silhouette in episode (?), then later on in a few other episodes as well before he really has his 'debut'
Debuts in episode 188; "Nuii, Don't Abandon Me!"

Gyororo holds the ability to blend in with his surroundings.

Robobo (ロボボ) : voice actor: Keiichi Sonobe
Appears as a black silhouette in episode (?)
Debuts in episode 185, part A; "Robobo, Large mechanized operations" (?)

Yukiki (ユキキ) : voice actor: Eiji Maruyama
Appears as a black silhouette in episode (?)
Debuts in episode (?)

Keroro's father ("The Demon Sergeant") : voice actor: Kenichi Ogata

Keroro's mother : voice actor: Sachiko Chijimatsu (?)

Giroro and Garuru's father : voice actor: George Nakata (Jouji Nakata?)

Dororo's/Zeroro's mother : voice actor: Kumiko Watanabe

Dororo's/Zeroro's father:

Never seen in the series (yet?), yet is referred to sometimes by Dororo.

Dororo's/Zeroro's brother:

Never seen in the series (yet?), yet is referred to sometimes by Dororo.

Mushishi : voice actor: Shōzō Iizuka
Appears in episode 181 (part A?); "Mushishi, Find the Insects' Whereabouts!" (ムシシ 虫の居所を探せ! であります)

Kiruru./Kilulu. (Kiruru Dot) : voice actor: 藤田圭宣 (Romanized "Seonjo Fujita Kei"?)
Appears in episode 128, part B; "Keroro Finally Prays to God?"

A so-called faulty version created from the traces of the original Kiruru.
It takes power from people being indecisive, leaving a green triangle somewhere on the victims' bodies rather than a red cross.

Kiruru. is affectionately called "Masshu" (マツシユ) by Keroro. (MASH later on)

Its symbol is a red "x" with a "." between the two upper parts of the "x", hence the ".", or Dot, part of his name. Kiruru., unlike the original Kiruru, gets its powers from indecisiveness. Just like the original Kiruru, though, Kiruru. changes size depending on the ammount of indecisiveness it takes in, yet stays in it's actual "form", or rather, shape. After letting all of its energy loose and taking control of the Kiruru X-52 army along with the Keron "mothership", it turned into a much smaller version of its original self, leaving along with the Kiruru X-52's and the Keron ship.

There are 5 known Kiruru's; Kiruru, Kiruru., Black Kiruru/Kiruru X-52, Kiruru X-55 and another Kiruru that shows up in the episode "Zeroro: Here Comes Kikaka".

Kiruru X-52 has the ability to control people with its red cross on them. Upon the Kiruru X-52 army's infiltration of the Keroro Platoon's underground base, they took control of Natsumi, Tamama and Dororo. However, after Kiruru.'s taking control of the Kiruru X-52 army and the Keron "mothership", they all settled down and let their "hostages" free.

Kiruru X-55 was sent to the Keroro Platoon as a "Christmas present" to motivate them to invade Earth. Thinking it was meant to replace them, the Keroro Platoon fought Kiruru X-55 with their Robo's, only to find it to actually be a package with a talking plushie doll of Sumomo. Kiruru X-55's abilities includes morphing its right arm into a blade. It's also quite bigger than the average Keronian.

(Super Elite?) Urere (ウレレ) : voice actor: Toshihiko Seki (?)
Appears in episode 169, part A; "Urere, The Reverend King of the Trains." (ウレレ 電車の王様 であります)

Captain Jirara (ジララ大尉) : voice actor: Masaru Ikeda (?)
Appears in episode 189; "Dororo, Assassin From the Past." (ドロロ 過去からの刺客 であります)

Jirara was the leader of the X1 elite assassin squad which Zoruru and formerly Dororo, as Zeroro, were in.

His name originates from Jiraiya (from the title character of the Japanese folktale "The tale of the gallant Jiraiya"). (?)

Sababa : voice actor: Nozomu Sasaki (?)
Appears in episode 220, part B; "Sababa: Devil King Of the Desert" (サババ 砂漠の魔王 であります)

His name comes from the Japanese word "sabaku", meaning desert.

Meruru : voice actor: Yuki Matsuoka (?)
Appears in episode 228, part A; "Meruru: Postal Service de~su!" (メルル 郵便 で〜す! であります)

Kikaka : voice actor: Kaoru Morota (?)

User Image

Appearance: [Back] | [True form] | [Jet pack] | ["Cannon"] | [Propeller]

Appears in episode 230, part B; "Zeroro: Here Comes Kikaka." (ゼロロ キカカがやってきた であります)

After being hunted by an Andromedan Husky on the loose, Zeroro is saved by Kikaka, an obviously artificially made Keronian, which he then befriends and brings home with him. As Kikaka lacks the ability to speak and is only able to say his own "name", Zeroro names him Kikaka. Kikaka befriends Keroro, Giroro and Pururu as well after Zeroro shows them his new friend.

At one point, Kikaka scares off the bullies usually annoying Zeroro and the others, but the bullies mistake Kikaka for the escaped biotech weapon which the army scientists are searching for. However, the mentioned biotech weapon turns out to be another Kiruru and Kikaka is turned into its true form upon warding off the Kiruru to save Zeroro and turns out to actually just be a simple doll. The reason as for why Kikaka was "brought to life" is hinted to be the work of a very young Kururu and his first tests of the Nanola.

Some of Kikaka's "gadgets" include an in-built jet pack in his back, a laser beam gun in his forehead and what looks like a cannon in his stomach area. It also has a propeller inside its head with which it's able to fly.

Warrant Officer (?) Bariri : voice actor: Ken Narita (?)
Appears in episode 239, part B; "Pururu: A Marriage Meeting Strategy!" (プルル お見合い大作戦! であります)

Mirara : voice actor: Yui Aragaki

Kilulu look like ordinary Keronians, but are in fact robots that are specially designed to achieve the ultimate invasion. They surpass Keron Forces Assassins completely in terms of power...but more important, they possess the unique ability to assimilate into any culture. When invasion commences, the Kilulu split into individual units, complete with their own thought patterns. As they slowly infiltrate, the planet's inhabitants find themselves increasingly confused until they end up fighting amongst themselves...creating an ideal environment for the Kilulu to finally take control.
The Kilulu were developed by the Keron Forces 65 million years ago with the express purpose of invading Earth."
