For those of you who don't know, dōjinshi are self-published manga and Japanese novels created by artists outside the industry. Outside of Japan, they are more commonly perveived as derivative works of an adult nature (like dirty fan fiction in picture form) and open a gateway into seeing our favourite anime/manga characters in...unfamiliar circumstances.
I'd like to hear your thoughts on series you've read or, if you've only just discovered what H-dōjinshi are, what do you think of them? Do any of you follow particular dōjinshi circles? Or contribute anything else related to the subject. I know it's kind of pointless since the forums here have been pretty dead, but I got nothing better to do.
i'm a huge fan of H-Doujinshi. It's like you said, a visual version of fanfiction! ..with adult situations. <3 But i'm kind of selective. Story is really important to me w this kind of stuff. If it doesn't have a good story, or if the arts too weird from the original, then it completely loses my interest. Feels like it takes away from what it was imitating, you know?
I used to follow alot of circles but now it seems alot of the sites that use to post them have had a complete falling out like hentai.net and doujinalert. It's hard for me to find a good website where I can just d/l doujinshi without having to subscribe or risk viral infection. But those sites used to have good quality stuff! Lots of Final Fantasy, Evangelion, Ruroni Kenshin, Azumanga Daioh,...you name it, they had it!
But now I just mainly buy my stuff from vendors @ conventions. I've always wanted to contribute my collection online but I personally don't have a scanner. n.n;
