The ones that are equipable, is there a way to sell them or can i only give them as gifts?

If the item shows a little lock sign, it is bound to you. You cannot give it as a gift, sell it, or trade it.

If such an item has a value, you CAN sell it for 1/2 it's prize. To do so, open your inventory and select "Organize my inventory". Depeding on the item type, you'll have to switch to the tab "Game", to sell game items that are bound to you.
