Burger King lists the odds of winning at 1:5,000

So how would you go about winning by mass mailings? And is it possible to turn a profit if you mail in 5,000 envelopes and win that way?

Well, even though you aren't technically buying anything from Burger King, you still have to pay the 42 cents for postage. So if you had to send in 5000 letters, you'd end up paying a total of $2100 in postage. With that amount of cash you could just as easily just go out and buy like 5 wiis.

So yeah. Not worth the effort, I say.

What you do, Jaft, is you address an envelope to yourself, by hand, put a stamp on it, put it in a bigger outer envelope and mail the whole works to Burger King.

If you live in Vermont, you don't have to stamp the smaller, self-addressed envelope that they send back.

That's such a waste of money. You might as well invest it in something and have it grow that way and use the profits to purchase what you want.
