Thought I'd start a thread about candy, since Halloween is coming up. I've always had a sweet tooth, so besides the goth-friendliness of Halloween... I enjoy the delicious variety of sweets that come out 'round this time of year.
Post all sweets you like!
Right now, I'm craving dark chocolate covered almonds (but haven't got any). gonk

Dark chocolate is THE BEST.
Can we just post a list of confectionary foods? "Candies" to me means things like Snickers, candy corn, and Milky Way which leaves out all the other tasty sweets in the world. sad

Veruniel Ooh! I love jordan almonds! Those are the BEST! Did someone named "Jordan" invent them, where they named after someone's kid, or are they named after the country "Jordan"? neutral

I'm not much of a candy lover, so my favorite "sweet" very well may be dried berries, or a nice apple. Or ham. No, definitely ham.
If we're strictly talking candy, I have a certain soft spot for Milky Way, Reese's Cups, and Vanilla Tootsie Rolls.

XWraith_LordX Veruniel Ooh! I love jordan almonds! Those are the BEST! Did someone named "Jordan" invent them, where they named after someone's kid, or are they named after the country "Jordan"? neutral From the FDA's website- "As far as we can determine the term 'Jordan Almonds' according to one source of information came from the French word 'jardin,' meaning 'garden,' 'hence, a cultivated almond' (Webster's New International Dictionary). Another source of information indicated that at one time the term referred to a variety of almonds originally grown along the Jordan River in Palestine characterized by long, thin, slender, rather smooth kernels in thick, heavy shells.
