Please tell me there are others out there who love this manga as much as me. In my opinion, Shonan Junai Gumi is one of the greatest shōnen mangas ever created. Tooru Fujisawa is the genius behind this classic mix of comedy and drama.

To summarise the plot, characters Eikichi Onizuka and Ryuji Danma (known as the Oni-Baku Boys) are a fearsome duo with one goal: To lose their virginity. There is a lot of violence, crime and crying along the way XD Those of you who are already familiar with the later series, Bad Company and Great Teacher Onizuka definitely need to consider adding this to their collection.

Yes I love this one as well. smile It is a pretty fun series. You can really see the drawing ability of the mangaka improve as it goes along as well. smile

Do my eye deceive me, or have actually found another Shonan fan? (O___O!!)

I love Fujisawa's style, you can certainly tell it's from the early 90's. Hehe. I just love how over the top everything is, yet it somehow wraps up into a lovely realistic bundle. It's just sooooo funny. I don't think I've laughed harder at any other manga. My little brother even laughed himself to tears XD

Oh I love it! I used to scan this one for MangaProject when they did it. ^__^

Your post made me think of the fact that I own up to volume 16 of this one... so I tried to offer it to the group doing it right now but it looks like they are dropping it.

I really wanna see how it turns out!

It's HILARIOUS. I think I'm saddest about this one out of all the shounen projects I didn't get to finish with MP. sad
