Because it HAD to be done.
This series is based upon a young mage by the name of Louise. In the series, which takes place in the fictional country of Tristian, in the fictional world of Halkeginia, Louise is a second-year student at the Tristain academy of magic. Early in the year, the 'Summon Servant' ceremony is customary for all second-years to summon their familiars, who will aid their masters in everyday life. Louise summons a human from modern-day Tokyo, Japan, named Saito Hiraga, and makes a contract with him by way of kiss. Immediately after, runes are etched into his left hand, which are explained later on as being those of a legendary familiar, called Gandalfr.
Because of the status of Saito (he's a commoner, most mages are nobles and often look down on the commoners), Louise initially hates him, calling him 'dog' and treating him as such, as well as beating him with a whip when he does something she does not like. However, during the course of the series, their bond grows.
In any case, what are the opinions of this fine guild over the first, second, and even third seasons of this series?
What are your favourite characters, and least favourite characters?

Oof, I'm so behind on Zero no Tsukaima (>.<) My brother introduced me to it, but so far I've on only seen the first series. However, I love what I've seen so far. It's such a funny, light-hearted series without being too over the top, plus the heart-felt moments are really sweet.

The second series takes a much more dramatic tone, what with the war against Albion and all that, and because of that it seems like some people didn't really care for it as much as the first season, whereas some felt it outright bad. However, I thought it a good watch. Especially the first episode. rofl

My brother watched it as soon as it came I, but I was too lazy to follow it up (^^;; ) Haha, I have a habit of dabbling in too many series at once. I'll definitely grab the second series off him though, if you reckon it's worth watching?

I'll definitely watch it then. Having been out of the country for almost two weeks, I've been completely deprived of anime; I gotta start making up for lost time XP

Having been out of the country for almost two weeks, I've been completely deprived of anime; I gotta start making up for lost time XP Mind if I add you to MSN? I've been taking the recent releases of the third season of Zero no Tsukaima and extracting the scripts so I can edit them for grammar, as well as to make sure the dialogue flows as nicely as possible. I can send those jobs to you instead. 3nodding

Yeah, I have AIM. But whichever is easiest for you would be just fine. Thank you (^____^) It's still unlicenced in the U.S. as far as I know, so I don't think you'd be breaking any rules (^^;; )

If you have another source for Futatsuki no Kishi, then use that one. I'm talking about Princess no Rondo, which is still airing in Japan. :XP:

Just finished both series (Zero no Tsukaima and Zero no Tsukaima: Futatsuki no Kishi) last year and currently watching the latest Zero no Tsukaima: Princesse no Rondo.
Well, the first season is better than second.. but the ending of the second season is great. Fanservice increasing from the first to the latest.. still don't mind it though and getting used to it because many anime have more or less of it.
Well favorite characters are Hiraga Saito, Louise Françoise de la Bamue le Blanc de la Vallière, and Princess/Queen Henrietta.
