Hm... I got the Cadets, also. I know I'm not good enough to be in any DCI band, though, even by the time I'm 25. I'm most likely just going to join a community band or something of the sort.

I got the Phantom Regiment! A lot of the people in my band are going to try out for the Regiment and our drum majors went to their drum major clinic. I've been thinking about trying out for them too. But if I did I'd have to learn a new instrument...I'm a clarinet stare

I'm sorry, but I have to say this. My boyfriend marches with Spirit and he would absolutely flip out if he saw the words "DCI" and "BAND" used together. I really don't mean to be rude, and if I came off that way, I sincerely appologize because that is the last thing that I want to do at this point. But the DCI "bands" aren't "bands" at all. They are corps. Bands generally involve woodwinds wheras corps are all drums, brass, and guard. You probably already knew this though, after all you must have some knowledge of drum corps to post this topic. Again, I sincerely appologize if I came off on the wrong note. Please forgive me.

On the quiz, I got Madison Scouts, but in real life that would be impossible, because I'm female, hah. Also, I'm a Blue Star, through and through. Had my rookie season this summer! mrgreen I completely agree, with Kadance. DCI is drum corps. Not band. I love band, I'm in band. But there is a distinct difference between band and drum corps. wink Just keep that in mind, hey? Also, never think that you aren't good enough to be part of a corps. Alot of times, it's a matter of just trying out. But if you still don't think you can make it, then there are many great Div. II and Div. III corps. heart

Hehe, that's awesome! Who is your friend? (PM mebbe?)
Also, I forgot on my last post that there are many, many people who pick a horn and learn how to play it. We had several woodwinds, and percussionists just learn how to play a brass instrument. biggrin Anybody can do it!

Whatevs, same diff. Brass, percussion and guard are just too full of themselves (haha, spoken like a true woodwind).
