Hello friends. Ever have something really retarded happen at work? Say, a costumer asks the same question, just reworded, several hundred times before he gets the point? Or a young guy claiming to be 17 trying to get into an R-rated movie, holding up car keys and talking about how he drove over there in his Mercedes without a drivers license, only for the clerk to point out the cop right behind him? Perhaps you should pay a visit to http://notalwaysright.com where stupid and funny customer quotes have gathered. Perhaps, you could submit a story. Here's an example, straight from the front page - Definitely Not Right Ice Cream Shop | Costa Mesa, CA, USA
(Keep in mind I’m gay, although it’s not too obvious.)
Me: “Hi, welcome to [ice cream shop]. What can I help you out with today?”
Customer: “Hey there, I was wondering if I could have a raspberry sorbet in a sugar cone?”
Me: “Cool. That’s going to be $1.39.”
Customer: *seductive voice* “I was hoping you could lower the price for me. I’m a little low, if you know what I mean…”
(The customer unbuttons the top two buttons on her blouse and bites her lip at me.)
Me: “Ehhh. Sorry, ma’am. I can’t fall for that.”
Customer: “What’s the matter? A little shy?” *bounces her boobs in my face*
Me: “Because that’s not ethical, and I don’t like boobs.”
Customer: “What?!”
Me: “I’m gay!”
Customer: “Oh my god! You’re sick! And you looked down my shirt, you pervert!”
Me: “You undid your shirt to get free ice cream!”
Customer: “Oh my god, sickos like you are just… just SICK! All men are filthy dogs. All you think about are naked girls and sex! I’m calling your manager to tell him what gross, perverted employees he has!” *leaves*
Me to coworker: “That… that wasn’t right, was it?”
Coworker: “You should put that on notalwaysright.”
Me: “I think I will.”
(She never did call our manager.)
Or you can post 'em here, for our... private. Enjoyment. biggrin

Interesting....
When I was still working at the movie theater, I had a weird encounter. I was working at the ticket window and this weird middle aged guy asked me about a movie. This part is normal. Then he asked me if I wanted to see it with him...
Me: sweatdrop "I have to work. Enjoy the show."
Him: "I could ask your manager to let you off to see it with me."
Me: sweatdrop "I need to work. Enjoy the show." sweatdrop xp
He finally left. It was weird. He was really hitting on me in a creepy way. Then there are the weird moments when you are not sure whether to say mam or sir. sweatdrop

I was hanging out with some of my friends during last drill, and I caught one of the males, who was at least twice my age, staring right at my chest! stressed So I yelled to him, "Price, my face is up here, man!" He immediatly denied everything, of course. Not two minutes later, SGT Stockdale noticed that Price's attention had wondered again. But now he was looking at Stockdale(a male). He yelled the same thing I did, and everyone busted up.

Allllright. I work for a local live theater company. It's a mess: There is no organization anywhere (Like props and costumes are stored in boxes that are piled on top of one another in tiny rooms and tools are kept in the production office like hedge trimmers and weed whackers...) Our buildings are on the border of being condemned We're treated like Peons. (Even the Artists and Production People) The Production office computer is running windows 98 with no ram, and while the computers in the regular secretary office have photoshop on them, the production office computer does not...
And we have trouble with security: One of our theater buildings was broken into and the items that were stolen were a box of wine, some pepsi from the locked pepsi cooler and ...all the copper piping in the building.
And we have a children's summer ed program. Today, some person let a strange man that no one knew into the building. This man managed to get up stairs and steal our Musical Director's back pack which had: The Score for the show that is opening on friday His ipod His cell-phone and wallet (ie all money and identification) His $100 dollar metronome ....and his car keys.
....my question: Who would let some random guy into a building with a bunch of children? And...why just the bag, right?
....I hate people.

And...why just the bag, right? People are really stupid. I think the thief just didn't want to risk getting caught, and probably laughed REALLY loud once he got out of earshot at the stupidity of your door guard. That really sucks that happened, but the door guard should owe your musical director a lot of stuff now.

Well, we don't really have a door guard. But all our doors are locked and only people who work in the building have the codes to get in, so he must have been milling about waiting for someone to open the door for him. It seems a little premeditated...or it's someone who's done this before.

He yelled the same thing I did, and everyone busted up. I audibly ROFLed. Unfortunately, abaout ten minutes later, Price made a comment to the effect that it was obvious that i had left college because i was too stupid to handle it. This was after I had told him to stop, he was going too far. needless to say, I was pissed and after a few words, I went to my hotel room for the night. Turns out the others then lit into him, especially when he tried to report me for disrespecting a superior NCO. Apparently, no one really likes him, they just tolerate him.

This is kind of funny but also kind of bad because it hits so close to home. My dad and I went to my mom's school to visit for a few minutes because it is the first week of school. I ran some copies of sheets that I will need for my student teaching. On the way back, one of my mom's teacher friends rode with us. My dad was looking at the sheets that I had copied when he came across a sheet about mammals. There was a picture of a dog on it.
My dad: "Dogs aren't mammals!"
...silence...
Then everyone in the car was laughing except for my dad! blaugh Yeah.... say that to a car full of teachers... rofl
