The worst part is that this feral cat problem is a direct result of people abandoning and not spaying/neutering their cats. First the humans dump them off, then they decide to shoot them. What the hell is wrong with this world?

That's sad. I hope that they end up neutering and relocating the colony. There's no reason that these cats can't live out their lives some place else, even if they are not adoptable.
It's kind of depressing that killing things is the first solution people think of for problems related to animals.
Also, I'm not convinced leg hold traps, even padded ones, are humane.

How can they do that?!? I'd shoot them if they would even touch my cat. No matter how spoiled or braty she is! scream
Its not like the cats can take over the world. Why can't they just fix/spray them?
Edit: And, there are more people then cats! You don't see us shooting other people because we are trying to keep our numbers down.
And the cats are doing what they are suposted to do. They mate, have offspring, the die. Yeah, fixing them will help the problem, but why would they shoot them? How could they shoot them? I could never shoot a cat if my life depended on it. evil Why are they blaming the cats for doing what they are suposted to do? Thats what we suposted to do. Every animal is suposted to do that...

IF THEY EVEN TOUCH MY CATS ID KILL THEM MYSELF!!!!!! Cats Are People To!!! They don't just get aggressive for no reason!!! Now if they are aggressive they must have a reason for it!!!
It's truly a sad thing that our first conclusion to ''getting rid of them'' would be to kill them.
Now I see NOT ONE HUMANE THING BOUT THIS!!!Yeah they breed but it nature you can just go around killing them!!!!! scream

it's the U.S. government
do they REALLY CARE about cats?
no! why would they?
in their opinion they're "just cats"
it's a "population problem"
the Navy is trying to protect native wildlife species, yet causing whales to beach themselves because of their sonar (??? yah uh-huh)
in reality the cats may be interfering with military operations
one fatal shot is "humane"
being "humane" means that they aren't causing prolonged pain to the animal
now, i'm not supporting this BS at all
but they're going to do it weather you care or not and there's nothing you can do
that's life
animals are put to death for needless reasons everyday just because they can't fit into the human world the way we want
don't get mad at me, i only speak the truth

THAT IS THE MOST INHUMANE THING I HAVE HEARD IN A WHILE! I MEAN COME ON CATS CAN'T HELP IT! THEY WON'T EVEN GIVE THEM A CHANCE! THERE JUST LIKE "oh the only thing we can do is kill them boohoo" (but they REALLY don't care about animals or as they call them "dumb creatures") they think that all animals are just "dumb creatures" and that is all they will ever be but that is just SICK. well what I think is that if they think all animals are dumb then we are too!!! WE ARE ALSO ANIMALS....

This is cruel and inhumane. If they shot humans because they caused an overpopulation problem there would be a riot! It would be much better for everyone if they just relocated them. evil evil

Uh ok. If we can capture lions and tigers and freaking RINOS to put them in zoos then why cant we capture a small cat? Its not like its scratch is poisonous with a disease we dont already have a cure for. >:O and I dont know about cat scratch fever because my wrists have been slit by cat claws and I am perfectly healthy. even by wild cats. >:O

ANND There is a place where there is an overpopulation of monkeys that steal stuff and (hehehe) touches women sexually, and throw poo at people and its practically illegal to even TOUCH them. Its not like the cats come in your house at night and steal your children or anything! Or do any of that stuff that the monkeys do!
