Err, can't say the rest... I am a university student majoring in Environmental engineering. I only know a handful of words in Japanese and most of the two easy alphabets. I'm hoping to make myself make more time for Japanese by getting more involved. Pleased to meet you biggrin

Becaue I don't know much of any japanese at all, I'll just get right to the point. sweatdrop
My name's Alex, and I'm 15 years old. I'm male, dispite my female avatar. I'm in tenth grade, high school. I've been trying to teach myself bits and pieces of the language for a while now, and I have many tutorial CD ROMs, but they aren't helping. It's sad that my high school only offers french and spanish, because having a Japanese class there would probably really help me.
Lesee.... Intrests and hobbies.
Video games are non stop for me, sadly. ^^; I play the trumpet, and have for about 5 years now. I also like to program little scripts on the computer using CGI, PERL, C, C++, HTML, and others.
As for anime/manga...

wow reading these posts, makes me realize how much I dont know ^-^; anywhoo..
My name's Michelle, I'm 16 years old [turning 17 next month! ^-^] Im in 11th grade. Um.. I enjoy singing, dancing, drawing, reading, video games, anime etc. and I've been studying japanese on and off.. plus the whole trying to understand anime as I watch it. So i can hear but not write. Guess that's it ^-^

Watashi wa jouzu-ni nihongo ga hanase masen.. razz
I guess I'm not so spiff cause I really don't know anything else. Umm.. I've never taken any real Japanese classes, I've picked things up here and there from Inuyasha tapes from Japan.. I hope to transfer to this one high school that has classes, but I doubt it razz Ano.. I really like reading and I spend most of my time doing just that. When I'm not, I'm on Gaia. XD And, like Boshi, I play an insturment but I play the violin. (Not very good I might add XD)

I don't know japanese at all! redface
But I'll introduce myself anyway.
My name is Nicolau (Calunio is an anagram), I'm brazilian, 22 years-old.
I just graduated in Psychology, but so far, no work.
I like learning all sorts of languages. My natural language is portuguese, and I learn english without every taking classes (outside regular school), just watching movies, playing games and stuff. I took 3 years of spanish, but I'm not completely fluent at it.
I always wanted to learn japanese, but never found where. I see that there are many japanese learning groups here in Gaia, but I'm not sure if I could learn a language like that, without conversation. But I'd be happy if anyone would be willing to teach me some basics!
I'm looking for a french-language school now.
Besides that... I like japan for a number of other reasons, including the beauty of the people, the culture, art, martial arts, pop stuff...
And I have a real-life quest (check my sig), and it's the main reason why I'm in this guild! I know most (if not all) of the people around here aren't japanese, but it's a start.
Could go on, but I already wrote too much! sweatdrop
