Okay I've been going into the Bleach part of FF.Net, and I've been hearing about this "Winter War' thing. I presume it's something in the latest chapters in Japan (Which I don't read), or some fan-theory/rumor, but I would like a real answer. What is the Winter War?

Well, you sure got me interested. I didn't even hear about the winter war yet....but then again...I've been wandering a little from Bleach. Anyway, I've looked through what other people said and this is the one that seemed to be the best answer. Quote: the Winter War refers to when the Houkgyoku fully awakens and Aizen will try to create a portal to the Kings Dimension and it hasnt happen yet in the manga either. its basically gonna be the showdon between the Gotei 13 and the Espada. And it seems that it's split on whether or not it's the final arc to Bleach. But then again...I'm not sure. I couldn't find anything concrete. And seeing that I didn't even know about the winter war until you mentioned it...that's about all I can do for answering your question.

Thanks, Silvie Verisimilitude. This is probably the best lead so far (of course, there's nothing else, but that's beside the point). However, on my search for more information, I will seek it where the fans are grouped together better.

Nitpicking perhaps, but you forgot to add the Vizard to the forces... The Vasto Lorde are probably going to show up for the first time as well.

du Mort Nitpicking perhaps, but you forgot to add the Vizard to the forces... The Vasto Lorde are probably going to show up for the first time as well. The Vizard? I think I read somewhere that the Vizard are not certain they will participate in the winter war. Then again...maybe that's a different arc...

Hm.. From what I've been reading on OneManga, what Shinji says makes it sound like he's most definitely going to take the Vizard to help the Shinigami.

kewlkat12 You both have great anwsers,but i would have to say that it could be the main importance in the final movie. Sounds logical, but if it was that, why would fanfic summaries note this at all? And why so often? I mean, I don't think the Espada, Vizards, or even Uryuu have anything to do with the movie, yet they're sometimes the focus of fanfics marked 'after the Winter War'. So I'm thinking the first hpothesis might be correct.

Hey! I finally found a good lead! A fanfic with details on what is presumed to happen during the Winter War (and the vizard are in there)! http://www.fanfiction.net/s/4239243/1/The_Winter_WarIronically, the Winter War is also the name of one of the first battles in WW2 (from what I skimmed in a wiki article.)
