Hey guys, save the internet

I don't know about you, but the reason I love the internet is because of the freedom for anyone to create a website, anyone to succeed at supplying information and entertainment online. Which is why the loss of "Net Neutrality" scares me so much.

Net neutrality means that network providers allow equal access to all websites. Without it, internet providers can divert your viewing from one website to another, just to make money. I've been seeing more and more about it, and recently found out that by 2012, Internet Service Providers intend to make the internet more like television, in that you have to pay extra for less trafficked sites. This means that all those obscure websites you enjoy frequenting? Looks like you're not going to visit them anymore.

The internet is about freedom to go where ever and see whatever you like, regardless of how popular the site is. It's different from television, and if enough people get involved, then hopefully we can stop this.

Google "net neutrality" or look it up on YouTube for more information.

Not having Net Neutrality would be bad for business.

If an ISP started doing that, it would piss off its customers.
And if another ISP came up and WASN'T doing that, almost all of the first ISP's customers would jump to the one that wasn't doing it. confused

Yeah that's not cool... And if they pull that s**t about homeland security then more bullshit to them! They still haven't done anything to fully protect us if another "9/11" happens or worse... Limiting the internet when you can't even properly run your own country isn't the smartest thing >.>
