Oh boy, been a while since I've checked in.
Eyyy, I just checked, started off my last comment the same way.
So a bit of an update, that job interviewing anglers was AMAZING (apart from the heatwave that we had to work through, port doesn't have much shade...).
Then I did work observing commercial gillnetting boats, they string a net down across a portion of a river. (they get a time limit that the net has to be back in by). That was fun, just got to sit on boats for up to 12 hour days AND get paid for the drive.
After that I did some odd jobs to fill the gap.
NOW I am back to doing the angler interviews, so fun to work with much of last years crew, a lot of people found full time jobs out of this. Getting closer to the end of the season now though.
SO I found another with the same department and am going to stay on to March, so now I basically need to find a way to fill 2 months so that I can get a full rotation going on.
I like the technician positions, I don't like the idea of office work. I like to walk around outside and talk to people. The job that I'd like would be full-time year round in a similar form, but until that comes I'll be happy learning more about fisheries.

Sorry this is such a late reply. Hi! Thanks for stopping by! It sounds like you're indulging in all these great opportunities for yourself. Makes life worth living, huh? Your career path is certainly a diverse one, it seems.
