So, we know that Locke was in the coffin, right? And it said his name was Jeremy Bentham, so I think that Locke kinda has multiple identities like Richard Alpert, who can go on the island and off and have other identities. So I'm thinking that Locke had another identity, or he was said to have died from his father pushing him out of the window and he's still on the island.

But... he didn't die from falling out the window. He was found, spoken to by detectives, in a hospital, treated, went through therapy, had a job, got on a plane, tried to go onto a walkabout, and then got on another plane to go back to LA.
When Cooper arrives on the island he tells Sawyer that he thinks they're in hell because his son died in a plane crash. There's just no way that he could make anyone think he died when he interacted with hundreds of people after the accident.
He's either dead, or it's a con... a collaboration with Ben to get them back to the island.
