I don't know much about the military side of things, but I know of a couple of people who are fascinated by it. I'd love to hear about some of the unique features of the army- and now that we have a new member whose interests lie along those lines... I was hoping that we might be able to have a discussion here.^_^
What are some things which made the ancient Egyptian army unique among the armies of the world, or the armies of that time period?

Thanks, I appreciate it.^_^ I know it's a pretty open-ended question, but I don't know enough about the subject to ask anything more specific. So you don't have to write an extensive essay- although if you had the time, I'd be thrilled! LOL. But seriously, feel free to focus on your favorite subject(s)!

I've started re-hashing one of my Egyptian stories I'm writing for a storyboard (I'd share the story here since it is set in ancient Egypt but Gaia has a pg-13 rating. sweatdrop ) and I needed some notes on the Egyptian army (one of my main characters is pharaoh's general) I could dig those notes up and share them here if anyone's interested.
