This is an advanced move that lets you slide very fast across the stage if you're good at it. currently, I can only wavedash across half of the stage. Any pointers?

different charactes have different timing on when to to press the L/R button, which ever one u use, but mainly to get good at wavedashing just go to training and practice it alot, but also learn to shffl, because that can be way more useful than wavedashing is

I find wavedashing too simple.. Why is it difficult for a lot of people(not for beginners of wavedashing).. I did it the first time with Mario in the middle of a fight with a level nine..(A week or two ago). But now I can beat 3 lvl 9s with no problem.

Okay, a wavedash is when you just, and as soon as you hit Y or X, hit R/L and at a downard angle. If you performed it right, you will be in a jumping pose, and will slide across the ground.. Here's a website.. Wavedashing Tutorial. Anyways, that should give you the information you need..(Look at the top of the page to see an example of wavedashing) it should look like that with all of the characters, just not that long of a slide. It depends on the traction of the character.. The most noticeable are Luigi, Samus, Mewtwo, Roy, Marth, and the Ice Climbers(although I think Ness' is VERY noticeable..

a big help to get REALLY good at wave dashing is to go into training and put it on 2/3rd time. then, constantly do it back and forth for as much as you can. once you can do it about 50 times in a row without messing up, go to normal time and it will be so incredibly easy you will be amazed at how fast you got so good at it.
(took me a total of 2 days to master wavedashing when I did this, self taught technique it is!)

Wavedash and Yoshi just don't go along.. So I don't use it much.
Luigi is good at wavegrabbing and wavesmashing. Ice climbers are good at it too.
