A friend of mine has a male cat named "Houdini". This Balinese breed seems really good at taking off its flea collar ...
Do veterinarians have anything for cats such as food supplements ?

I don't particularly recommend flea collars anyway. They concentrate the medication all at one site and can cause irritation or reactions on the neck for many animals. I've also seen animals with a flea collar who are flea-free on the front end, with a party of fleas happily hanging out on the back end.
Topical medications like Revolution or Frontline for cats are effective against fleas and are easy to apply. There is still some potential for reactions (as with any medication) but overall they are well tolerated by most animals. Revolution also protects against heartworm, several intestinal parasites and several types of skin mites. It will be more expensive than a flea collar, but probably much more useful.

Thanks for the advice ^_^
I'll let my friend know when he heads to the vet.

I was told a loooong time ago that feeding your cat small amounts of garlic in their food would repel fleas...
BUT I wouldn't recommend it, it might irritate their stomachs.
