I am a devout dirtbiker and mx/superx fan. I also love lolita. So at the supercross race yesterday, I got the idea, why dont I incorporate two of my favorite things? So I came up with the idea of MotoLoli. I figure it could be a spin on casual loli, using jerseys and boots with skirts and pettis.
I have one problem: I am not the most color coordinated. This is my Jersey:
Thor=RAWK
I need a skirt that could match, and socks, and a petti. On my head I plan to wear a sponsor hat, probably one that will match.
I will be wearing my riding boots, which are black and slightly clunky with red buckles. I dont have a picture of them, but I promise to clean them up.

Please note that they will have to be easily washed since when youre screaming for Chad Reed from behind the gate, dirt flys at you.
Thank you!

Hmm....I think the jersey might ruin the overall silhouette of the lolita look. Maybe get a seamstress/tailor/yourself to sew the jersey into a more fitted shape and perhaps make the sleeves slimmer or gathered at the shoulders (like a puff). And maybe wear a punk loli skirt with punk inspired accessories.
Some places I think you can find punk lolita skirts are listed in the side that says: EGL/EGA/Punk Brands. Since those brands don't generally sell overseas, you could get a possible replica from In the Starlight and their petticoats should be fine.

The thing is with dirt bike racing, I doubt you'd get away with wearing lolita for safety reasons. Sure, photo shots or just a day at the race would be fine. Even though it's inactive, I think ******** would be a good egl livejournal community for you.

Unfortunately, Rini, ITS is no longer doing replicas. They've stopped in order to focus on producing their own original designs instead.

Yeah, it's really baggy on me (I've been mistaken for a man once or twice in full gear) so I already plan to have it fitted more slightly. The sleeves too, since they've gotten caught on brances a few times.

Oh no! I would NEVER EVER wear anything Loli while riding! Though I plan to do a ShiroLoli photoshoo with my bike all dirtied up in the background. When we are riding, there are no skirts, blouses or anything hyperfeminine or super girly clothes allowed. Its REALLY mucky, even walking around the campsite.

I'll check out the sites, thanks x3

-C'est la lune qui conduit la danse...-

I was actually thinking that you can get a retro-loli dress done, with the design of the shirt in there somewhere. sweatdrop heart

I know.
That's kind of my point.
i want to incorporate my two lives together.
And who says lolita's have to be perfect, prim and proper ALL THE TIME?
and actuall, riding isn't as rough-and-rumble as you may think

Honestly? Anyone who says that a lolita has to be perfect, prim and proper all the time needs to stop reading the Princess Portal and start getting into the real world, in my opinion. But I'm incredibly anti-princess behavior when it comes to lolita lifestyles; it's silly to change your life to fit your clothes.

I commend you for wanting to combine both of your passions, I'm just not sure how you're going to be able to do it given the material you want to work with. Is it possible to take the logo/design/colors of the jersey and then have it applied to a heavy cotton twill instead of knit? It'd still be durable and fairly rough-and-tumble, but slightly less at odds than jersey.

I thought about tearing it up and using it as patches on a cutsew or something, but it's my actual jersey that I ride in. So I cant tear it up beacuse then I cant ride. I want to find a cheapo one on eBay so I could possib;y do that.

That would be kind of fun. I also meant could you get it embroidered, maybe? Like. Make an outfit in your uniform colors with the logo/motif embroidered or screenprinted onto it somehow?

I'll try and do a sketch to better explain myself when I'm not quite so tired out. XD
