If there was a JtHM movie how would you want it to be?
Who'd be:
-The director?
-Johnny?
-Devi?
-the composer?(choosing music, background music, ect.)
I have no Idea who I'd choose to be anyone right now... But I'm thinkin'. Also, Would it follow the plot of the comic book? hell yes, it should. Discuss, People. DISCUSS DAMN YOU!!

well,i know damn well it'd get too screwed up.
but i'd force myself to see it. just so i can saw i saw it.
and i would probably end up crying a bit....
but,if there was....
Director: jhonen vasquez, dur. he;d be the only one who'd know what was going on.
Nny: if my boyfriend could act,i'd pick him.
but since he cant,i don't know.
Devi: again, no idea.
composer: Jhonen,cuz he'd get it right
and it should folow the plot,but since it's a movie it wont make any flippen sense and then jesus will get involved.

No, i would completely object. I know it would be a crap and dissapointing version of the comic. Nooooo! It would become one of those things, where "im watching this because im so f***ed up" and then youd get the little emo kids dressing like johnny. It would be saddening.

Y'know. I think it'd be really stupid if everyone who was a JTHM fan wouldn't go because they think hollywood would screw it up. It only makes sence to go, pay the $7.50, see the movie, THEN critique it. Because then, you're allowed an honest opinon. But, if you object to the movie instantaneously, and don't even give it a chance because of what you ASSUME will happen to it... Then really, you're just an idiot. =/

I hate the idea of little emos trying to dress like Nny, but you know that it happens anyway. Nny's got good dress sense.
If a JTHM movie came out, it should roughly follow the plot of the comics, and I'd probably go see it. Even if it makes me pop a vein.
Let's have Jhonen codirect with Guillermo DelToro (because he's twisted enough to do it halfway well, and I would personally ove to see a Del Toro version of the Moose). OOOH! Better idea- Tim Burton.
I don't know who would play Nny. It would probably be an undiscovered actor, but if it *had* to be an existing actor… a younger Edward Norton. Don't ask. I just think that he wouldn't be ridiculously god-awful.
Devi… If she could play a role that dark, I'd love to get Natalie Portman in to do it.
Composer? Alan Silvestri (guy who did the music for Van Helsing) or Danny Elfman (as in Sleepy Hollow-style Danny Elfman, not twinkly Harry Potter Danny Elfman) The soundtrack would be liberally littered with songs from Mindless Self Indulgence (because Jhonen seems to like them).

Yeah, I think they'd screw it up, they'd make him emo and not depressed, there is a difference you know XD. And then they'd probably put in some stupid sex scene. Which would be really stupid. And finding someone so skinny that they look like Nny would be hard. Not to mention Squee. But this all just what I think.

The director would have to be Tim Burton aided by Jhonen Vasquez to keep the vision on track. Since its a hypothetic situation, we can get time machines involved so the part of Johnny would go to Johnny Depp the same age as he was in Edward Scissorhands. Devi is a tough one but I'd go with the chick from the Craft the craziest one, uhm Fairuza Balk (I googled it xp ) but she's a pretty good actress, in my opinion anyways. The composer like there is any contest Danny Elfman because if Burton is directing you can't make the movie without Elfman. Besides is he not awesome. But seriously the only way to make this into movie and keep it as close to the comic series would be with stop-motion animation, and that way Depp could be Nny with no time machines involved.

If a JTHM movie was coming out, idk how I would react. I'd probably get really excited at first, and I would definitely see it, but then it would get super annoying having people start jumping on the JTHM bandwagon and saying that JTHM is their faaavorite movie if they haven't even read the comic books or something stupid like that.
As for who should direct it, Jhonen Vasquez should have some part in the movie process whether or not that part is director...I can't really think of anyone else who would direct it, but I think the guys who directed the movie The Collector, who are also writers for some of the Saw movies, would direct a JTHM movie well just because I thought The Collector had some interesting visual and audio elements in it. I would laugh my a** off though if they got Michael Bay to direct that s**t, LOL!! He would be like, "Okay! Nny kills someone and then we have a giant explosion in the background for no reason!!"
As for actors, I have no clue. I would just hope that they wouldn't get anyone who sucks to play Johnny, but I think that Selma Blair would make a decent Devi.
And idk about music either. That's anyone's game in my opinion since audio isn't generally part of the comic book reading experience...As long as the composer could squeeze in 'Ode to Joy' in the coffee shop killing spree scene.
And YES! if the movie didn't follow the comic book I would be inclined to get a bit pissed. Although a few tweaks here and there would be welcomed as long as they were extremely minor, like just adding a few extra scenes or something.

Portman would be a good Devi.
For soundtrack, Mike E. Clark. Jhonen does quite like MSI, he directed Shut Me Up, and did the cover art for the albums.

Now Devi could very well be played by Christina Ricci (Addams Family, Sleepy Hollow razz ) She's good with dark characters, I think it could work biggrin
And Nny Himself, well I WOULD say Johnny Depp, but he won't work that well. Anyone who is good with dark,depressing characters would suit the part razz
As for Squee(Todd) we need a child actor. I don't know the names of any child actors but, hey who knows! razz
Danny Elfman is obviously music ;P I mean who else could pull it off! biggrin
