Well its not that bad but it was funny. We were ensembling our last movement and our band director told us just to make alot of noise on cymbals, bass drums, and the gong. So we were doing it and I had a gong mallet and bass mallet in each hand and I went to hit the gong super hard and my friend did simultaneously resulting in a huge sound that overwhelmed our ears and sent the gong falling over, almost hitting the bass clarinets behind us.

we had themes for every friday and they were so funny. one week was ninjas and samuria(sp) day and the whole cg were wearing kimonos that i made just for that day. i as alwasys had a number of weapons(martial arts thing), including my sword. then after lunch i changed into my sakura(NARUTO) cosplay and spent the rest of the day in that. another was cowboys and indians that was the funniest ever. our dm tried to act like a cowboy with the accent and everything.

ok so one day in band camp the sun was especially beating down on us. all of put on sunscreen except one of our trumpets. at the end of the day his entire back side was burnt and his front was completely white. glad i wore sunscreen!!!!

Speaking of the sun and sunscrean... someone played a trick on me and replaced my sunscrean for playing old lotion. at the time it wasn't funny but now it kinda is.
OHHH...cg we always do stuff so on the first day of school we have a "band tan" and a "guard tan" and we all were stuff we had or got during band camp. This year we all made shirts and we where them on every friday and we do our stuff all day in class.

Well mine would have to be when i put sunscreen on but sweat i all off so the next session my legs were bright red and i couldn't march. (very painful but still HILARIOUS.)

Just because the rest of my cymbal line didn't run back to their starting point. We had to run all the way around the field with our instruments! Then they all blamed me and tried to trip me in the mud... But ended up that one of them sunk! XD It was funny, then he got yelled at for taking too long and then we had a long lecture in the hot sun....

we were out in the fields, and my section leader got her foot stuck in the mud, and totally tripped. >.< she got mud all over herself. ^.^;;

my freshman year we had a show called "trapped, untrapped" and the cg had to constantly carry these huge and heavy wooden fences all across the field. Well when we had to reset it took us longer because we had to redo the fences along with our equipment. One day the band was set but we were still running around and our drill writer yelled at us for always being the last ones set. Our cg coach didn't take that very well and she spent a good couple minutes yelling up at him (he was in a scissor lift) to pretty much shut his mouth and leave the cg to her.
*sigh* we really do love her smile

a bunch of the drumline forgot their eear plugs so our BD said,
"Drumline, never bang without protection."
It was priceless.

Actually one time at band camp, the Pit (which i'm part of) was practicing our music and rehearsing to learn it and memorize it, and we had been playing without a break for almost more than 2 hours, so when we finally tok a break we ended up taking like a hour and we where playing cops and robbers, and pretending to be in a war with our mallet's and instruments and such, XD
best memories ever are from band camp and band trips.
sucky that this is my last year being a senior though. T.T

lol i wish my band did actual band camp instead of just coming up to school for 4 or 8 hours a day sad but o well... gah i say "one time at band camp" all the time to my non band friends and they look at me like im crazy!!! xd ahhh dont have any stories at the moment sadly...
