I had a relatively innocuous request today from a friend, but something about it struck me as odd. A friend of mine wanted my little brother's address (he's away at college) so she could send him a letter. She said it wasn't a love letter or anything, so I figured that was sort of a natural reaction since we all think she's had a crush on him for some time (this friend is younger than me I should note). But then she said the letter was sort of an apology.

I'm a little worried because she has never done anything that bothered my little brother. I couldn't think of a reason she should be sorry. Last summer she had some issues with depression though.

I'm going to talk with my mom tomorrow, but should I approach her about my concerns? Or is it probably something totally different altogether?

I agree with Doressa. Talk to your brother to see if there is a reason, not that you need to know sais reason, just to see if there is cause for concern. Also, let her know you are there to talk if needed.

Pretty much it turns out she was wanting to apologize for being in love with him-- or something. And she had this journal entry about it. I let my little brother know so he's going to try and talk to her.

Unfortunately the emergency with my boyfriend (he has a thread about it, the duck thread) took precedence. I let her know I had to handle that situation first, and she said she understood and hoped he'd get well soon.
