Stuck on song ideas for my rock band

I'm looking for topics to write a rock song for my band, 20mph. if u have any ideas please reply. ( Please nothing about any type of metal music.) it gives me a headache.

jeez, uhm, i think you can't really be told a topic to write a song about unless you can just write on command. it's so much easier and writing ends up so much better when you have your own inspiration. that's how the music for our band gets written...well, the lyrics by me, the others do the instrumental part. kinda beat considering i don't sing but who cares...just take something in your life you can write forever about and form it inot a song.

I suggest just playing random notes, or covers and see what inspires you.

I read ur lyrics and yes, my goodness you're rather promisious.
Really, maybe that's ur style, and I ok with it but you never know when some one is gonna flame u or when a little kid will stumble on your words.

Try and make it about something you hate or things that have happened to you. Try to give it your own originality not on someone else's ideas but if you want to use my ideas its fine with me.

maybe if something big happened in your life that really affected you try writing exactly how you feel about it

In our rock band at the moment, we've just started working on Paranoid, Black Dog by Led Zep and Rock and Roll Queen by the Subways. I'm a bassist, so I suppose it depends what sort of level you are on the guitar. If ever in doubt though theres always Teenage Kicks, you can master it n 10 mins =P. What sort of songs have you already got??
