A few people have said I should and I'm really thinking I might. What do you guys think? Maybe I should make some changes? Do I need a story? It's 1000g to enter right? Yeah....

If you enter, you'd stand to make it in the top 500 (which is already very good considering how many entries they get.) However, these days the only ones who win are usually cosplayers or have a ton of expensive items. Once or twice you get others that are either brilliant or just very lucky they missed the downvoters. My point is; you probably won't get any gold back for your 1k. However if you're doing it for the comments then by all means go ahead. As for the story alot of people in the Avi talk forum say they like it detailed and descriptive (though personally I don't think it's as important as the avatar.) Just remember spell check is your friend. Anyways, best of luck with that, I do like your avi. =)
