isn't bandcamp just tasty, epecially when you in the guard, it's 100 degrees out and are doing 50 million extra stuff that plain old bad members don't. Ah the memories of Band: post yours. Some of mine include the drumline speeding up the maching tempo marching back to the busses from the feild. Parade season I missed practice at one point and had to be on A section, the lead banner started to fall apart all over it was hillarious.

you know something? I'm in Pit and i feel like I've heard that soooo many times too! Of course it holds a different meaning for you since you actually have to be out on the field, but I mean, our Pit doesn't do much since we learn everything really fast. It just means another set we can't do much. But i think you're brave for doing guard! Our guard has sooo much drama gonk I wouldn't be able to handle it. Plus I bet you guys get yelled at a lot for getting in the way (even if it was the marcher's fault)

Ironically, we never went to set one. The beginning set was actually set 2. I think something got messed up with our drill sheets or something.

One parade I was splitting the back of the guard line because we had an odd number of girls and when the band would play and we would twirl the guard would end up 15 or 20 yards ahead of me and the same thing for the band behind me because i was trying to span the gap.... stare it was really embarassing cause we were on TV.
I'm sposed to be second in line marching off the field but our last competition i was first and i flipped out, i had no idea where to go. XP
My first band camp it was almost 100 degrees that day and i raced a 6 foot 3 or 5 friend to the end of the field and back (mind you im only 5 foot) and almst beat him until my captain started screaming her head off about how i was going to pass out. whee

Oh...my...gosh...I hate that!!! My band director will let us go through the whole show until the second to last set the he'll stop us. "Ok, we need to work on stepping" or "Trumpets! Pay attentionand listen to your section!!!" then he'll end his lecture by saying the dreaded..."Opening set!"TT.TT It drives me INSANE!!! crying But yeah, I love band. even though carrying the bass is very painfull when you're moving back to opening set, practicing pregame...-cringe- but you gotta love it I guess...
And yes, little_emo_vampire that's EXACTLY what it's like in my band! TT.TT

I'm in Winter Drumline and I play the cymbals, though I've never hear 'back to set one', I've heard 'From the top' MANY times.
I'd hear 'Okay, people, from the top' and Spencer cry out 'the VERY top!'
Then we'd set up.
xD
Our show is going to be SO AWESOME! Look for us, and we're hosting the Northern California High School Drumline Championships this year at LP. LPO Drumline, all the way! dx

I'm in Color/Winterguard and during Marching season, we get the "set one" thing over and over. But now that its Winter season, and we are learning work, we hear "One more time" after everytime we do it for a about a hour lol At least we will know our work
