hey eveyone! you all know that the baritone saxaphone is really neat and low right? not as low as the tuba but it gets there sometimes! well just so you all know i play the baritone saxophone!(bari sax for short!!)its so much fun! and to think i came from being a flutist! i learned the bari sax very quickly according to my band teacher (she's really fun!) well not many people play the bari sax is that still true? or has it changed now? just curious!

in my middle school (6th-8th) we have one bari sax in each of the 7th and 8th garde bands. everyone starts on alto (like me) then when you get in 7th you can switch. right now in my band we have 2 altos a tenor and a bari. not very big i know but we can play as well as 10 saxes put together!

Yea we got a Bari Tenor, and about 6 altos...i like the bari's sound though..or im used to it i dunno which O.o

i find it soooooo cool when the bari plays a long low note. we call it a super note da da di daaaaaaaaaa

lol yea their low notes are awsome..i guess its bacause its a low woodwind (no offence Bassons you guys sound cool to..maybe a bit squikish..but your still awsome too)

It's true. Fewer people play low end instrument. Trumpets and alto saxophones are a dime a dozen, but you'll be lucky to have more than 1 or 2 tuba or baris in an ensemble.

I love the sound of a baritone saxophone.
It was the first saxophone i ever picked up and learned.
I'm sorry but i'm going to have to move this to the woodwind forum.
Oh and there's a saxophone sticky there for future reference.

yea..ive never seen more then 2 tubas and 2 bari saxes (at lest in middle school..high school is a different story)
