Hey there, Danny. Welcome to the guild! I am pretty new to the guild myself and I was happy to find an active guild with friendly people around my age, as well.
Texas, eh? Random, but I used to live in two towns called Lufkin and and Amarillo when I was a wee child. 3nodding

Welcome!
This is sort of our Utopia. It's the big kids table. Sure you could go have the metaphoric happy meal over in General Discussion in main Gaia, and get yourself -gee wiz- a brats doll toy inside. Or you can find that talking to other adults you have the metaphoric five star cuisine and as an added bonus, there's still a toy inside.
Feel free to scan current topics as well as post your own. What are some of your interests? We discuss a little of everything in this guild smile

I'm a pretty enthusiastic beer drinker too. I've always been into cars, and recently had a huge interest in the plumbing trade.

What kind of cars?
Let's face it, not all motorheads think the same. Personally I have an interest in small, fast, and aerodynamic cars. Less energy, better results, and able to navigate through tight situations.

Less energy, better results, and able to navigate through tight situations. Unfortunately, I'm very opinionated about cars as well as music. But I'm a Nissan fanboy for life, and i can't stand Italian cars. My favorite cars being the Silvia line, long before all the drifting movies that ruined the sport itself.

My friend Sneha has a Nissan Altima and she does some seriously wicked stuff with that car. The turn radius on that vehicle is insane. You wouldn't suspect it, but I've seen it navigate through narrow spots, U-turn on a dime, and otherwise just be a handling masterpiece.
I drive a 2006 Mazda 3 myself. The engine is pretty Meh, but the handling is very smooth. Also it's nice to have a cute car that's within my budget. After I totaled my car last spring I had some unpleasant prospects. I test drove a handful of things but felt like a fish out of water with all of them.

personally, i'm a fan of gas chugging musclecars. however, a nicely put together tuner is a good thing. sadly, a lot of people think that all a compact needs to be a tuner is a body kit and a fart can exhaust. they even use automatic transmissions here *gasp* the horror!

I don't have a problem with muscle cars, but around here everyone that drives one is a pompous, self-absorbed, testosterone fueled social retard. So I just make the association with muscle cars by default now. But give me a stage 4 SR20DET and we'll squash the whole Muscle vs. Import debate once and for all. rolleyes

Welcome! I'm not much of a car person...I don't even have my license, so I can't really add on to that car conversation. xd Someone's mention earlier in this thread of happy meals really made me crave McDonalds. The toys they put in those today suck...

Granted, I was involved with the street racing scene in Houston, both Muscle and Import. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying you're a bad person, for liking muscle cars, I was just explaining my experiences with them down here. If it helps the ricers 'round here are usually 16-18 with a car they primered and bolted a park bench to the trunk. And they think they're invincible. But as I said before, I'm a sucker for Nissan, and very much in denial about any thing being better. sweatdrop
