If you want a bigband you can get asome people together and gather the charts yourself. Charts are pretty expensive so that can be a pain.
Our director is our former highschool band director so most of our songs are from the highschool's library <_<
I've bought a few as well

as for a small group you can get a rythmn section and a fake book then your already set!

Yeah that's the great part about having your own group.
I'm too busy and usually too lazy to actually write charts for our band but our director writes the stuff for us and finds most of our gigs.
I've bought a few charts for us to play but that can be pretty expensive.
