Hey, everyone. I hope this isn't a repeat topic. I didn't see one.
Are you guys reading anything in particular at the moment? Right now I am reading the novel Wicked by Gregory Maguire. I am not very far into it at the moment, but I am really enjoying it thus far. For those of you who may not be aware of what this book is about, it's the story about the Wicked Witch from the "Wizard of Oz" - Her side of the story, how she grew up, etc. (If you have read it, please don't give anything away. =))
So tell me what you're reading. I love hearing about it - especially if I haven't read it and it sounds like something I might be interested in.

I am reading Fools Die by Mario Puzo. Puzo wrote The Godfather which I read a couple of months ago. I am a huge fan of his movies, and the book was no disappointment. I just finished The Fortunate Pilgrim also by Puzo. Awesome book.
Once I get on an author, I usually try to read as many of their books as possible. I enjoy seeing how their writing changed over the span of their career. I have a few more of Puzo's writings to read after I finish this one. While it is a really long book, I enjoy it very much.

I am currently enjoying the Kushiel series by Jacqueline Carey...the latest on is Kushiel's Justice. I am in love with this series! It has a kinda alternate demension feel that takes place right after the fall of the roman empire in the European region. There is alot of religious context to it...but it's a religiong based out of the book, so it isn't preachy. Oh...just for warning if someone wants to pick the books up...they have a very...sexy undertone to them. The lead character is a concubine.

Well, I don't get much time for leisure reading. There's a couple of things I'm "reading" right now, meaning I've gotten stopped in the middle of it until graduation in June, likely.
*The Language Instinct by Steven Pinker (or is it Stephen?). It's a linguisticsy book about why language should be considered innate in our brains and all sorts of juicy stuff like that. It's written in a pretty accessible and narrative manner too. I like his writing style.
*The Curious Jumping Frog by Mark Twain (it's actually a collection of his short stories). My dad gave it to me for Christmas last year (the Christmas before this most recent one). I haven't had much time to poke around in it.
*The Secret Garden translated into Mandarin. xd It's one of my favorite books of all time, and I managed to pick up this translated copy when I was in Beijing over the summer.
Those are all postponed while I read Elements of Acoustic Phonetics, Wild Boar Forest, and an abridged version of The Water Margin/Outlaws of the Marsh for school. confused

I'm reading Fragile Things, by Neil Gaiman. Gaiman's my favorite author, so when I got a new book by him for my birthday, I was very happy. I'm not very far into it, but so far, it's really good.

Weeeellll so far this past week I finsihed reading Kushiel's Jusice, Confessor - Terry Goodkind, and Stardust - Neil Gaiman. When I hit the library tonight to turn in my employee packet I'll be picking up more books. On this list I know is Jasper Fforde's - The Eyre Affair (this was ordered for me by a friend so I don't know what I'm getting into.
Other than that I've been reading many texts on food and religions as well as my text book for the Pop Culture class I'm taking. - Sociology Food and Nutrition: The Social Appetite. I don't think I'll be able to look at my dinner plate the same way ever again.
What I should be reading is my Math textbook.

I'm not very far into it, but so far, it's really good. A dreamer is one who can only find his way by moonlight... Good choice. He's my favourite, too. I'm waiting for the new children's book to release. ...and his punishment is that he sees the dawn before the rest of the world.

I love that I have spare time to read again! I recently finished the last two books of the Harry Potter series. cool I'm now starting on The Golden Compass, which I'm really excited about, and when I need a laugh, I pick up I Am America (and So Can You!).

I bought I am America, And So Can You soon after it came out. I am such a Colbert fan. xD
I have also read the first book to The Golden Compass trilogy and I am on the second book now, but I put it down to read Wicked.
@Raien: I have read two Terry Goodkind books. The first two in The Sword of Truth series. I haven't read any more. I have to be in a rare mood where I wil read that type of fantasy. They were good, though - and I am thinking about picking them up again in the near future.
