2. Have you ever had a reoccurring dream?
3. Have you ever had a lucid dream?

Wow! I had my second to last journal entry all about dreams! I marked it as private now, but I could open it to public if anyone wants to read all about it. (Just let me know guys!) I also translate dreams among friends and family members (I've been told I'm fairly accurate, too. If you're curious I'll translate yours.)

Anyway, now to answer your questions.

1. Do you remember your dreams? Yes, I normally remember all or most of my dreams. Have you had any interesting (but guild-appropriate, of course) dreams lately? The most interesting dream I have had to my recollection that is guild-appropriate is attending some sort of convention with my mom and Steven (my brother) and trying to meet up again in some sort of food court like area near a trainstation. xd I Don't recall much else except seeing my first ex-boyfriend and his kid brother just watching on emotionlessly.
2. Have you ever had a reoccurring dream? Yes, one dream that kept reoccuring would happen the night before school would start and I would always go to this huge building that was at least 16 stories high. In that building I would find an aquarium with many different fish in tanks and each would bear the number of fish to correspond with the grade I was entering the next day (e.g., 4 fish = 4th grade and so on). Then I'd take an elevator (I wasn't clausterphobic then) to the corresponding floor to my grade (e.g., 9th floor = 9th grade). I would then proceed to meet my teacher and class would begin and my dream would end.
I have had other reoccurring dreams, but my mind is in a whirl right now and I can't remember any.

3. Have you ever had a lucid dream? Yup! Any time I dream about a relative or friend who has passed away I have them. Also a lot of times I already know I'm dreaming, so I control the dream anyway. 3nodding It's fun!
4. Do you feel that dreams have significant meaning to your waking life? Do they portend upcoming events? Clarify issues in your life for you? Yes, my journal explains what I believe.

This is a wonderful topic! I wish I had started this thread as I love to translate dreams and enjoy reading about dreams and "dreamology" as I call it. 3nodding

Ooh, I love the subject of dreams...

1. Do you remember your dreams? I sometimes remember.

Have you had any interesting (but guild-appropriate, of course) dreams lately? Feel free to share them.
One of my most interesting dreams seems very symbolic... In it, I'm in an eerie, white skyscraper. There are no designs or pictures on the walls, or carpet; It's all white. I'm quietly moving to the very top floor... When I get there, there's a wall made of solid glass, with a couch facing that wall. Outside, the apocalypse is taking place; There is fire and brimstone and buildings crumbling, and I sit in the couch to watch the apocalypse. Soon, I hear a noise behind me, and when I turn around, there are two robots (they looked sort-of like mechanical mannequins)... These two robots were on fire, and they would shake hands and hug-- Repeating the same action over and over.

I later painted a picture of this dream, calling it, "Mechanical Friendship at the End of the World."

2. Have you ever had a reoccurring dream?
Yes... In one of my reoccurring dreams, I fall, and the gravity is too heavy for me to stand up. In the other one, I accidentally get involved in a robbery, or a murder, and I'm trying to cover my tracks before the cops show up.

3. Have you ever had a lucid dream?
Yes, I have.

4. Do you feel that dreams have significant meaning to your waking life? Do they portend upcoming events? Clarify issues in your life for you?
I believe dreams are symbols of the troubles we face in life.

Hello, interesting questions to answer and read. : )

1. Do you remember your dreams? Have you had any interesting dreams lately? I remember my dreams often, yes - and I have always been a vivid dreamer. I actually had a very interesting dream the other night. You know the movie "Cloverfield?" Well, I have never seen this movie, and I only know the general plot line, but I had a dream that was sort of..erm..inspired by the movie, I suppose? In the dream, me and a group of people (I know none of these people in real life.) were at this abandoned lot and everything in the background was basically rubble and burning. I never saw any of the "monsters," though. However, we were in constant fear (I remember feeling intense fear in my dream)of these monsters and tried hiding from them. The dream ended when we finally found a car and piled in.
2. Have you ever had a reoccurring dream? I have had reoccurring dreams with the same subject matter, but never the exact same dream. I have had dream "deja vu" before where it felt like I had dreamed the exact particular dream before, but in fact have never dreamed it previously. - At least, I couldn't recall dreaming it before. o_o
3. Have you ever had a lucid dream? Eh...kind of.Rarely do I have lucid dreams, and when I do, it's more of a thought that sits in the back of my head, but I still feel as if I can't control any aspect of my dream. Does that make sense? It's tough to explain in words. When I do have lucid dreams, my realization doesn't seem to last very long.
4. Do you feel that dreams have significant meaning to your waking life? Do they portend upcoming events? Clarify issues in your life for you? I believe some dreams are very significant to my waking life and I seem to have particular dreams that occur due to what I am going through in my life, and how I am feeling. I have had dreams which have really opened my eyes to some issues which I couldn't see before. Then again, I think some dreams are just...dreams. Random images and events to keep your mind occupied as you sleep. I don't believe every dream is meant to dissected in order to find something that isn't even there.

I'll have to read your journal now. xd That fish dream sounds so crazy but kind of fun. I wish I had lucid dreams about my relatives who pass away...that would give nice closure seeing as they're usually really far away.

Oooh, I've always wanted to paint pictures from my dreams, because I often have such cool images. I'm too much of a perfectionist, though, and they never come out right...

I guess I should answer my own questions too! xd

1. I had a dream about my ex-boyfriend last night. I woke up and was disturbed by it because we're just good friends now. I always have vivid and strange dreams. I like them most of the time because it's like I get to see at least one movie every night!
Another dream: I was waiting for the bus on campus when someone walked up to me with a box and tried to get me to take a kitten. I really, really wanted it and it was all cute and little and fluffy, but I started crying and explained that we're not allowed to have pets at our apartment complex. crying It was so sad.
2. I have had reoccurring dreams. One of them was when I was in high school and went something like this:
It was sort of gloomy out but not really and I was at my house. I'd walk out across the yard of green grass and then up the driveway next door. On the side of the driveway would be a coffin. Sometimes there would be more than one coffin in the driveway too. I'd walk up to the end of the driveway and where there was supposed to be a big empty lot behind someone else's house, there was actually a grassy cliff (which became rocks at the bottom) that went into the ocean. On this grassy, steep cliff, there were gravestones here and there. The ocean would be pounding away at the cliff below. That was pretty much it.

3. I had a lucid dream once in which I was sort of Mary Poppins. I had on the whole outfit and an umbrella, and I realized that I could fly so I flew all over campus. Then I stopped in a cafeteria and saw one of my coworkers and he gave me some whiskey or something, and then I ended up flying around some more drunkenly. rofl It was pretty fun.

4. My dreams tend to mirror things from my life, but they don't always have significance.

There's a nice longgg post for you. sweatdrop

Last night I had sort of a crazy dream...I don't really remember all of it, but it was definitely influenced by the fact that I watched the movie "The Cat Returns" from Studio Ghibli before I went to bed.

For some reason, I was stuck in a really cold area but I knew somehow I could transport myself via teleportation or something similar to a different, warmer spot. Someone kept advising me just to adjust to the whether but I didn't want to...I kept seeing this image of a really green grassy hillside with a shining sun.

Later in my dream I was with a bunch of people and we were going to this island which was apparently the domain of some Russians or something. We drove up in a Jeep to this thing we thought was something like an amusement park, but apparently it wasn't. There were cat-people there and for some reason they were swimming in this log-flume like thing.

It was definitely weird.

Sometimes I remember my dreams. None too interesting that is appropriate to share, though, lol.

Most dreams I have I don't remember clearly. I just remember having them. The ones I do remember are very detailed.

I've had a couple recurring dreams, but eventually they all but left my memory. I don't remember details, I just remember having them.

Dreams in which I understood their meaning? No. Most of the time I don't even understand what goes on in my head when I'm awake, so I doubt I'd understand a lot of my dreams.

Some of my dreams have meaning. Some have even been visions, telling me of what would happen in the future. I remember I while aog I was looking for something. I looked all over the house for it multiple times, and I could not find it. That night I went to sleep, and one of my dreams told me exactly where to go in the house. The next day I did and I found what I was looking for.

Mine does too usually. One time I had a dream that my parents and I lived in a castle, and had all sorts of jewels and money, and triangles were floating in the sky. Now that I think about it, that was probably the only time I've ever had a dream about material wealth. xd

(I've been wanting to read & respond to this thread. Just been busy) -Pops in Dream Theater's Octavarian for mood setting.-

1. Do you remember your dreams? Have you had any interesting (but guild-appropriate, of course) dreams lately? Feel free to share them.

I remember main themes from dreams, and a few dreams I remember pretty well. Interesting? Well similar to someone else I've been having dreams about the future. The first one was over the summer. I had a dream I was talking to my ex Arthur. Some background: I hadn't spoken to Arthur in over 2 years, he moved out to California and wasn't even in my conscious sphere. So I wake up from the dream "huh, that's weird" and log online and there was a message from Arthur on my My Space after not hearing from him for over 2 years.

Then about couple months later I dreamt that I ran into this guy Jon, the best friend of one of my exes. In the dream Jon began to work with my boyfriend David .Well to give you some background on that one, Jon and my ex lived in my old college town- 2 hours away. I had contact with neither of them after my breakup with Dan (the ex). Well I was running around the airport after returning from Florida. David was running around with me in the baggage terminal. David was wearing his work shirt because he came after his shift. There of all places, out of the blue, we bumped into, you guessed it, Jon.

Unlucky me, I have yet to have a steamy dream with Masi Oka--I'd like to see that happen redface For giggles ask me about my funny "I'm not Gay Jesus!!" dream.

2. Have you ever had a reoccurring dream? This is going to sound stupid, but humor me. Since the age of 5 I have had HORRIBLE nightmares about a witch. Now I know, witches, what's the big deal? As a kid the witch was manifested as the Wicked Witch of the West (or WWW, I'm scared of the internet?). These dreams were really scary as a youth. I had the same basic dream slightly rehashed, I was showing down the WWW on my own. Well I get them periodically even now. The dreams have evolved and the witch has gotten far more terrifying than a cheesy green broad. I've defeated her in countless, countless dreams, but years later she can still resurface when I least expect. I guess that's the scary element, I cannot destroy her or stop the nightmares. I've asked countless people if they can figure out the subconscious message. No one has ever given an answer that works.

I also have recurring dreams of a sexy, slightly evil man that I am in love with. Apparently my subconscious digs bad boys? I actually realllllly enjoy these dreams and wish I had more of them. Better than a romance novel, and cleaner.

3. Have you ever had a lucid dream? No sad
4. Do you feel that dreams have significant meaning to your waking life

Yup. I majored in Psyche after all.
Do they portend upcoming events?

Now and then, as I mentioned in #1. I'm trying to learn to better decode my dreams.

Clarify issues in your life for you?

Not really. They just leave me with more questions.

I keep a dream diary notebook right in my bed, so I can write stuff down as soon as I awaken.

1: Yes, occasionally, but nothing interesting lately. When I have them, I never really get rested.
2: When I was a kid, but I no longer remember it.
3: I don't think they were really lucid, just first-person.
4: Nope.

Do tell! It sounds amusing. Unless it's not guild appropriate... sweatdrop

I always wanted to keep a dream journal, but a couple of things held me back:
1) I dream so often and usually want to sleep in late in the morning, so I wouldn't have time to write them up
2) Paranoia about someone reading the journal
3) I'd probably forget

Last night I had a scary dream about being stuck in a storm by the ocean. Then there was some part where I was at this tide pool and I caught a fish with my bare hands. Pretty weird...
