They stick to group franchises and those icons were a fluke quickly erased after released when the leak came out.

Jigglypuff and Ness were hinted at on various sites. Lucario has been confirmed, but as a Pokemon or playable character? I don't know. No one knows yet and Nintendo is doing all kinds of stuff to keep us on our toes.

Sorry, I haven't been on Gaia in a while.
Ok, let me explain. I first discovered the leak on GameFAQs, and it's also on Brawl Central. I even saw the video these screen shots were from.
According to the Sticker Power Ups update, those faces in the corner of that bar show which characters can use the character-exclusive stickers. The Groudon sticker can only be used by Pikachu, Pokemon Trainer, Jigglypuff, and Lucario. The Claus sticker can only be used by Ness and Lucas.
As for Mewtwo, a lot of people think he's been cut. So Brawl may have no Mewtwo.
People, this is 100% true. I actually saw the video these were in on the OFFICIAL Japanese Wii site. I can back this claim up.
