I assume she's teething, because she's going literally mad and chewing on everything and anything she can get her paws on. XD;

She's about 12 weeks old, so I dunno if she is or isn't teething, but either way, she's chewing on everything.

I've read a good thing to give to teething kittens is a plastic drinking straw -- like the ones you'd get at a fast food place. Anybody have any other ideas? I've just given her a tough one and she seems to be pretty interested in it.

Her favorite things to teeth on are my fingers and toes, unfortunately. gonk I loves her just the same, though. crying heart

You should look at her teeth.
I'm not too sure about the back teeth but the front ones will with grow in beside the baby teeth.
It looks like double vampire fangs! :'D

Kittens usually have a loooong "bitey" period however.

I'll see if I can dig up some tips.

Hmm...

I haven't bought one myself, but Kong (the rubber dog chew toy that you can put food into) makes a tiny version for cats that looks like it would make a good chew toy.

The real fur mice seem to be made of some rubbery material in the middle which seems to provide some good chewing - Violet loves them and will chew them in half.

You could get some rawhide chews sized for small dogs.

You could also try giving her a cube of raw meat (maybe stewing beef) or a chicken wing with the bone in (raw only - cooked bone can splinter.) Both are great for gnawing on.

I've also seen toys in the big chain pet stores that I think are meant for teething. They're small cloth covered toys that you throw in the freezer, so they're cold and firm and probably feel really good on the gums. I wish I could remember the brand.

You could also try some of the wooden chews that are made for small rodents - I know some cats are attracted to chewing on wood.

My kitties liked my sandals.
They're rubber sandals and all 5 of them bit on them when they began teething. They also liked my fingers and since I didn't mind the bites I let them bite me. 4laugh

Cardboard boxes were popular with all the kittens I've helped with (my parents kittens, and now my kittens). Not a cardboard box would go by that didn't end up "lacy" after a few hours.

My little guys would chew on my engagement ring while I was sleeping too - that was always fun to wake up to. confused

Your fingers are probably the best tool for a teething kitten, unless of course it hurts you. As mentioned before, cardboard boxes are also helpful because they like to chew the edges. 3nodding
