Love taking photos of your cat doing cute things? Now you can show off your adorable kitty and win!

Take a photo of your kitty, add a caption it and enter.

Does your kitty make you melt and go "Awwwww"? Submissions in this category should embody the word "cute" and be brimming over with adorable kitty luff.

Humour
Cats are non-stop hilarity and entertainment. Submissions in this category should be humorous, with silly captions or cats doing hilarious things.

Inspirational
Cats are amazing creatures - they're so small, yet so tough and brave; they're independent individuals but will love you unconditionally. Submissions in this category should be inspirational, uplifting, motivating or thought provoking.

Artistic
Lithe, silky and elegant... cats are a stunning example of beauty and deserve to be presented as such. Submissions in this category should demonstrate artistry through use of lighting, camera angles, composition or design.

Stuff on my cat
The only thing better than a cat is a cat with stuff on it. Stick your cat in a sweater, under a pile of stuffed animals, put a waffle on her head... be creative. Submissions in this category must include a cat beneath an object, beneath another animal or wearing clothing.

Rules:

Please read the complete rules before entering:

Contest ends Feb 29. All entries must be submitted by 11:59pm February 29, 2008 PST (GMT -8:00).
Photos must be your own - you can take a photo of your own cat or someone else's cat, but you must be the photographer.
Entries must contain both a cat photo and caption.
Photos must be of real cats - no stuffed animals or drawings of cats.
Animation, Photoshop effects and other edits are allowed, as long as it is still possible to tell that the entry contains a photo of a real cat.
Captions should be on the image itself.
Captions may include quotes from other sources. Please attribute and give credit if your caption is borrowed.
Entries should be no larger than 500x500 pixels.
Entries will be judged based on overall appeal, quality, adherence to theme, originality and general kittiness.
Winners will be decided by independent judging panel (panel will be selected by me.)
Joint entries are allowed, however I will not be responsible for dividing the prizes - when entering please indicate who the prize should be sent to if the entry wins.
Contest end date will be extended if less than 10 total entries and 2 entries per category are not received.
Each entry will be eligible for 1 category prize (if a category is indicated) and 1 general prize.
You may submit as many entries as you like.
You must specify which categories you are entering. You may include multiple categories for each submission. If no category is listed, entry will be considered for the grand prize only.
Entrants must be members of this guild.
By entering you give permission for your entry to be used within the context of this guild, such as in the promotion of the guild, as a guild banner etc. You retain all rights to your image and will be credited if it is used anywhere.
