2 Talking to your epuipment
3 wearing your old costumes for halloween
4 coming up with nicknames for certain moves
5 making build-a-bears that match your guard costumes an that are holding a flag
6 getting together with your old guard members and reliving old shows

 7. twirling pencils and pens 8. being able to look at another guard member and have a conversation of "Should...?" "Uh-huh, but k." "then let's." and knowing what they mean. 9. re-naming the entire guard

when u choreograph every song u hear
when stadium nachos, mountain dew, and 3 hotdogs is the breakfast of champions
when it is impossible to walk out of step
when u forget what # comes after 8
when ur instructors r like ur second parents
when uv woken up spinning
when u hav an entire shelf in ur room full of electrical tape

when you try to spin any and every thing that reminds you of gaurd equipment
when you are jazz running while running in pe
when you can't quit counting
when you are doing pilates exercise that were a part of your warm-ups
when you use cgt and cgtms and you don't know untill a none cg person says "hu?"(color gaurd talk and terms)
when you day dream 'bout cg all the time(i did that today in class)

-When all your practice clothes and water jugs are in your car.
-when there is a section of your room for all your trophies and medals
-When you wont date anyone that hasn't marched drumcorps or marching band
-when you wake up after a prac and your joints won't budge lol
-And my fav... when you get tendonitis
-When you march with someone that was born when you were in fifth grade

renaming the whole guard? we did that with demon names for this past marching band season. don't remember what i was...however, just straight names i ended up with Rainbow! it makes a lot of people question my sexuality...the sad thing is, it stuck. now like everyone calls me rainbow. haha.

When you can and will throw a 45 with a broom

-when you can no longer keep count of the number of light fixtures you have taken out
-you cry every time you rifle breaks and must buy a new one
-when you can take apart and reassemble a saber in 30 seconds flat
-you've perfected the art of spinnig brooms and baseball bats
-when you find rolls of electical tape in new places every time you clean your room(if ever)

Hehe we renamed the whole Guard.. we made ourselves known as the HICs (stands for Hookers International Cruiseline) and we each got a HIC name... mine was PassionFruit razz
I knew I was in Colorguard for too long when we were in the weightroom and I started twirling a (40-pound) bar because it somehow reminded me of a flagpole...

And then for halloween we took huge shirts and decorated them with our names and the HICs logo and stuff, and then we wore them (with black leggings) to school and horrified all of our teachers who couldn't understand why a group of seemingly sweet young ladies wanted to be hookers for a day...

I will soon be in guard at my High school next year do any of you have advice for freshies???
Oh and another one to add to the list is dancing your routines in the hallway at school and outside of school
