So I sit here and ponder the universe.....
So now I want to know who believes in soulmates?
Do you believe there is that one person, that when you look into their eyes that they are meant to be with you?
Would you go to ends of the earth to be with them?
I do believe in all of this, but I have started to believe they may be on another planet. I keep the faith, though at times it becomes difficult. I am that hopeless romantic, just a little different because I believe there is romance in anything. All the way from laying watching the stars to cheering on my favorite monster truck. Guess I am strange that way. Thanks for listening to my ramblings... can't wait to read your thoughts on this~Syd

i like to think itsa posiblity but with the sheer amount of people in the world whats the odds you find them?

Okay I actually do think there's someone out here for everyone. The question is when are you going to meet them and is it in this life time or the next. I think Super buick and I talked about this before. I fill you in.
I'm what you would call a romantic /dreamer. I have a dream of a guy at the beach but I can never see his face. We are about the same age if not he's a little bit older but not by much though. We meet in my dreams every few year and yes our ages are almost the same. He's been with me all my life. I first meet him when I was like 10 and he was 10 or something. He always shows up when I'm really hurt or something bad happens to me. In my dreams we walk on the beach and we talk to each other and I tell him what's going on in my life. I think I asked him a few times I've meet him when I would see him for sure and he tells me I'm not ready yet but really soon. The last time I've see him was only a few years ago when I had a really bad break up with a ex boyfriend. We talked and he held me close, still can't see his face at all but a black blurry. Instead of asking him he actually asked me if I'm ready to meet his for real this time and I was actually kinda scared and said not right now.
Oh why did I say no, I can just kick myself. Anyways I'm original from the beach so I was raised near the beach and plus I love the beach. I guess that's why we always meet at the beach. But yeah he's my mysterious soulmate out there and we are connected to each other by dreams. It's weird though he knows a lot about me and I know only a little about him. He's like been there when I need him and he's always comes in my dream to listen to me and tell me things will got better for me in the end. Wow it's like he's been there all my life. So has anyone ever had something like this?

I think it's alovely thought...the thought of soulmates...but I can't believe in them. Mainly because I don't believe in fate, or destiny or whatever you want to call it. I believe in karma..you get what you give and so on...and I believe there is a type of person out there that would be perfect for me...but not just one person.
But I won't knock anyone for believing in them...more powa @ ya, and I hope you find them...that would be lovely!

I'm not sure on the whole soulmate thing. I've met people who are so much a part of me that others have called them my soulmates. This has happned twice.
I've told people that at one time or another we were so tied to each other that we gave up a part of ourselves to that person. Dani is my twin in so many ways, a true mirror of myself. Skye (not you, sorry) is the one standing over my shoulder looking into the mirror with me.
At this point I don't think either is my "soulmate" but it doesn't mean they didn't hold that role before.
Don't give up hope. That planet may be closer than you think.

I believe I found my soul mate, and it happens to be a form of a friend; my best friend. We are like sisters, we are so different from each other but so a like in many ways. And I am glad, no matter how far we are from each other; that I found her.
My perspective of love is this: you can love everybody with the act of kindness and understanding... w/o the sexual aspect (that's for someone very special...). People like to call it "true love" when they are in love w/ that special someone; but there is only love that is unconditional, that no matter how hurt, your heart overcomes such pain, even if at the end it may not work out (esp. intimate relationships). Nonetheless, I would die for anyone I love; even if for some only bitterness collides if two worlds are together.
Maybe this makes me sound a bit crazy, but I felt like I've been here before...it's just the craziest feeling. I do believe, that there is a reason for everything, and you have to meet certain people to determine what's ahead. And some of these people I feel like I've meet them before, and some are just new souls that I haven't meet; but all has a similar role, that requires a needing hand to understand the hardships that they may not be able to conquer. I believe in that saying what comes around goes around (it is the cirlce of life and how we hurt each other...), and as a person they have to redeem themselves these are our fate, which at the end analyzes a persons' destiny.

I suppose everyone has their one great love but it may not always be best to see it through. Romance is a wonderful idea though even if it can be impractical sometimes.
...and his punishment is that he sees the dawn before the rest of the world.

I like to think I believe in that sort of thing, but I'm kinda like you Syd in the thinking that they may be on a different planet all together. I dunno though, I am currently dating this really awesome guy, so I guess I shall see how it works out before I change my beliefs completly about soulmates.

First off, theres nothing wrong with being a hopeless romantic!
I believe for the most part, but I have had a couple of good relationships with women who didn't even match me. Not only that, but some who did before don't match me anymore.
Someday I'll find someone that truly completes me.

I think that in terms of friends it is definitely possible. Just someone you click really well with and you understand each other and know your friendship will last a lifetime.
In terms of someone who you're meant to be with romantically forever, however, I'm skeptical...

I believe in true love, in that magical spark where you just know "it" is there.
BUT I don't believe in Soul Mates.
I believe when you find someone you love that much it is worth WORKING to MAKE a person your sould mate.
