Been on a great vacation ?

Have you ever been on a great vacation somewhere ? Tell us about it. If you have more than one, only do one per post. biggrin

I went on a cruise. it was all great except this waterfall thing i had to climb up.. i guess i thought there was like a pathway or something near the waterfall we were walking up but no we went straight up the middle of the damn thing the rocks were slippery and i slipped like 5 times because im the biggest clutz ever and anyway .. that was terrifying lol

my aunt that was with me who is sometimes extremely annoying, was like "oh i went up it just fine" lalala but she had her husband there to basically push her a** up the hill and make sure she didnt fall lol i had some girl who was actually smaller than me and gripped my arm like her life depended on it!

but i swam with dolphins and sting rays! both were awesome. i know everyone says they go for the food but i didnt eat that much. i liked having omelets every day for breakfast though that was cool. I got to know our waitress really well and I almost cried the last day cuz I was going to miss her. She had such a great story, working hard to make money for her kids so she could start a little store in her country and be self sustaining and not have to worry about their future anymore. She left them with her sister and they barely knew who she was now and it hurt but in the end it was what was best for them. *sniff* broke my heart. We tipped her a lot. lol

I think my favorite vacation was with Olus when we went to New Orleans. Before Katrina. We did this steamboat thing, and went to the zoo which was my favorite part, and walked through this cemetary. Some reason you have to go to one when you go there.. and walked through this really amazing park near our hotel. We set there for like an hour just chillin cuz it was so nice. The food there is the best, I looooove cajun food. I cook it a lot, too cuz half my family is cajun. Making a roux is hard, very very hard. But everything else is onions, garlic, red pepper lol. We had some mai tais and walked around bourbon street and bought silly necklaces to walk around with. went to some clubs and listened to some blues.. soooo amazing.

Hmm we also went to some beach in Alabama. Having lived in Texas all my life it's always amazing to see how CLEAN other beaches are lol. Unfortunatly, Texas beaches are like the armpit of the gulf.. blechk. We also stayed in Florida a couple of days but we didnt do much there except see some friends and watch tv hehe. We were pretty partied out by the time we got home! lol. I think it took us an extra couple of days to recoop. rofl

I think my best vacation would have to be the trip my fiance and I took down to the Borgata casino in Atlantic City, NJ. It's the top casino down there and the luxuries are amazing. We did a little gambling, a trip to the spa, a walk on the beach, some shopping, and a little sightseeing around the area. It was definately a great time!

I just did a day trip. I went to the ocean. It had been awhile,
and was nice and cool. Great trip !!!

I went to disneyland for my 7th birthday. I made my aunt go on the dimbo ride and she made go on a scary ride
