Sponsored by a lolita store? o_O Which store? I find this pretty hard to believe, since none of the major Japanese brands have moved over to the United States, yet, and I highly doubt any of the American brands would be wanting to promote themselves in Hollywood...

heart heart heart heart Agreed ^_^
Also, going to World Championships of Performing Arts could be a good chance for you to get signed to more people, and not alot of major companies have a good view of lolita sweatdrop So it might hurt ya alittle bit. >_< But it does give you a good chance to show the world the good side of lolita! :3 (just dont shame us, kay? biggrin no pressure XD )
good luck! heart heart heart heart

I have to agree with all aspects of what you wrote. Baby is going to be the first store to establish itself in the US but it has yet to do so. Other than that I know of no Lolita stores that would want to sponsor a foreigner in a competition in which their products will be displayed in a market that is not 100% keen to them such is the Hollywood scene.

-...quand le soleil sera couché dans ton âme froide.- i agree, specifically since, as the others have stated, there are no major japanese brands in the us yet. so the burning question is.. miss glc if you are legit in your claim please tell us what brand/store etc is sponsering you.

wow, not a single person congratulating me? that's dissapointing. it's really a shame so many people are so quick to call someone a liar. okay, 1. I'm American 2. The Store is American, and is located near Hollywood, so that's one reason they are helping me 3. second reason they are helping me is that i have to raise $8000 to go to this so i just asked for some help. 4. be "sponcering" i mean just donating an outfit 5. i dont really care if Hollywood doesn't like lolita, if I can wear lolita at my school and not get burned, then i can wear it there 6. The event will be in Spokesmodel were I walk the runway and then try to sell something. I'm wearing Lolita so I'll be dressed like a doll, so i'll probably be selling a costume store, i'm not sure yet 7. the store is called The White Peacock 8. the website for the event is http://www.worldchampionships.tv9. i pride myself in being a well-mannered lolita, and to be honest i'm ashamed that you guys say this is BS. Believe it or not, I do have feelings. Now if you guys are done burning a poor little teenager, does anyone have any advice for me?

Aww *pat pat* Hollywood is sure a strange place, I live in the area ^^lll I know. The stores there are pretty wacky but they are starting to become more centralized and more brand focus :/ for tourism i suppose... Anyhoo, I guess its not exactly considered a lolita store but someone a costume shop that focuses on olden day clothing in general. I know that in Santa Monica there are a TON of vintage shops XP if you know where to look. Although youll find most of the japanese students by the 3rd st. promenade sitting down on the floors by the mall ha ha ha. Its like they are back in Japan XP Well I wish you luck nontheless ^^-

You've yet to tell us THE NAME of the brand. Fake. I don't care if your feelings are hurt because you're a "poor little teenager", as if the rest of us are mostly 20 and above. :/
My advice for you: Stop bullshitting if you can't prove it.

Sailor Jerry She said it was White Peacock, I think. Yeah she did. Although it's not really a brand, it's just a shop. I thought it was only available online but I guess not.

Ugh White Peacock? That sad excuse of "Lolita"? Oh jeez, that's not Lolita.
They don't have a store otherwise they would've listed it. Maybe wherever the online business takes place at is in Hollywood. But regardless, words are words. Proof or it didn't happen.

Now if you guys are done burning a poor little teenager, does anyone have any advice for me? first, congrats second, yes, I have some advice for you: I haven't seen The White Peacock's clothes, but if you're going to wear lolita, make sure it's real lolita. We dont' want this fashion to be promoted as trashy or cheap on that note, if you're supposed to be selling a store related to what you wear, why are you planning on selling a costume store??? and dont' play the "poor little teen" game. we're teens too. I hope you don't do that irl because it will not help you at this event (or at anything in life). People will only look down at you more. if you dont' like what people say, give them a mature response and they will treat you the same best of luck to you
