Sorry about that. I would have put a summary in the first post, but I didn't have time.
Basically it's about a shinigami named Boogiepop that appears to combat "the enemies of the world". I know that sounds really simple and a bit cliche, but it's the easiest way to put it.
There are so many sub-plots are twists that make it both confusing and intriguing. The main one being that the episodes aren't in chronological order. Which is to say that the first episode numbers somewhere around third on the timeline. You also get the chance to see the same event from several different perspectives. But once you figure everything out it's really cool. Besides understanding it is half the fun.
Also, even though Boogiepop is a shinigami, there's not really any "I've come to take your soul" kind of stuff. It's more "Something's not right and I've got to fix it".
Overall it's a very dark show. Last I checked it was under the horror genre, but I don't really consider it as such.
Anyway. I think that's about all I can say without giving too much away. If you like shows that make you think then you should enjoy this one.
