FAKE, got to love it. heart I've seen the OVA but not read the manga so I can only go on that. To anyone not familiar with it, Dee Laytner and Randy 'Ryo' Mclain, two cops from New York go on vacation to England. Except they find themselves involved in a murder case involving those of japanese descent as the victims. All this with Dee trying to get in Ryo's pants and Ryo not quite reciprocating. Add in a couple of kids who are taking bets on the pair and a secret admirer of Ryo and a not so secret fanboy admirer of Dee and you've got an OVA that I love a lot.
It was nice to watch a show about two guys without it resorting to sex. Although Dee does try. xd I have to say I actually like most of the characters and I can't help but want to huggle J.J more then the others.

Le Prince de Glace ----------- ----------- I love FAKE! I haven't finished reading the manga, but I've seen all of the OVA. I think the best part was when wine fell on the ground, and they used the most terrible sound effect possible...xD.
Anywho! FAKE is definitely a classic~! I tried reading Under the Full Moon, or something like that, which is by the same author, and that was lovely as well, but FAKE is definitely the best. FAKE > Gravitation any day.
Although, is it really 18+? I thought it was 16+, except the last volume. ---------------------- Prince of Ice

I can't stand gravitation.... I know they both came out in the US at the same time but does anyone know which one sold better?

Le Prince de Glace ----------- ----------- I have no idea; probably Gravitation. I, personally, think it's a hilarious manga, but sometimes it goes waaaay over the top, and I hate how girly Muraki's drawings got by the end of the series! ---------------------- Prince of Ice

I say love, it is a flower...Gravitation also had the traditional "manga style". =/ I love FAKE. It's probably my favorite manga~ heart ...That, with the sun's love, in the spring...

FAKE is such super win. I really out to buy my own copies of that (I originally borrowed it from my friend.) I probably should, actually, before Tokyopop lets the license run out... *still curses Kodocha*

Hah! I love love love Fake! It cracked me up to no end, and the whole...Japanese/American contrast is always hilarious. Just like Americans pick and choose what stereotypes to talk about Japanese people, they do the same for us.
I adore all the "almost" sex, and the silliness of it all. They try to sprinkle in the mystery and suspense...but really it is mostly one guy desperately trying to get into the man he loves pants.
