Post photos of your cats or cats you know in real life. This thread is for personal cat photos, not photos you found on the internet.

Please provide links to any images that are larger than 500x500 pixels, so as not to stretch the page. Smaller images can be posted directly.

She's too cute - she has a very delicate, kittenish face.

I love the whiskers photo and the ones of her in all the different containers. Yay for kitties in boxes, drawers, trashcans and sinks. whee

My kitties! I'll have to upload some more soon - I found some photos my mum sent me that need scanning, and I have a whole bunch on my camera:

Thank you! She's a terminal burrower, we always find her crammed into the tiniest possible places.

And you know how I feel about Violet. She's so pretty. ^.^

Lili is so cute, all fat and shaved. Poor thing ~.~;; Are all the other ones your family's cats?

Yep. Bart, Macray, Tiger and Lili all live with my mum - they're the cats we grew up with. Calico is Tiger's sister but she disappeared years ago sad The perils of outdoor cats... but it's almost impossible to turn a cat into an indoors only cat when they grew up as strays outside.

I need to track down some photos of Rosette and Kitty too - they're no longer with us. I don't think I have any photos of Rowan, which makes me sad. I only had him for a short time, before he got really sick and I had to put him down.

*squee* Calico! She's so pretty and soft looking. Does she let you brush her?

Timmy's so damned cute. And well of course he has to be on the stuff you're taking pictures of... if you're paying attention to something it must be laid or sat on. It's a cat rule.

She fights with us when we try and brush her unless we are at the vet.
Sadly we tend to have to cut the matted hair out most of the time.
edit that rule is sooo true.
Mainly when I 'm working on homework.
Have I told you my cat literally ate and shredded one of my major reports and it was the one the computer restarted itself on after I printed it off and went to save the file. gonk

Macray gets pretty matted some times. She likes having her chest and cheek fur combed out, but if you go near her sides, back or tail with a brush, watch out for your life. She does let you de-mat her if you explain it to her though, which is good (she should know she wouldn't get the mats if she would let us brush her, but I guess she doesn't feel like being that tolerant.)

There's this wonderful little tool called a dematter - have you seen them? I'd never heard of them recently until I found one in the grooming tools drawer at the Humane Society. It's a small tool, the head is maybe twice the size of a toothbrush head, and it has small curved blades with blunt tips. It's amazing for removing mats from long haired cats, and you don't have to worry about snipping their skin, which is always a concern for me when I have to cut mats out.

gonk That's awful about the report, yet such a typical cat thing to do. Bart likes to sit on piles of paper and "dig" at the edge of them. I've never been able to figure out why he does it, but I'm always paranoid that he's preparing to pee on the paper.

I think I've heard of the dematter but I have yet to see one.

And yea it was sad at least I got an extension from bringing in the "left overs".

And to stay on topic of picture posting.
Here is bird who is about to drop a beanie baby on my moms head.

And this is bird shortly after with all the toys and part of her sister Scamper can be seen too.

And here are two pictures of Minnie lying in a box.

Oh my, they're all lovely. I don't know if I could ever foster cats... I'd get attached and end up adopting them.
