NaruSasu essay
Naruto is obviously a shonen and of course since it's shonen it won't have any canon gay pairs now will it? Though no matter how much you look at it, NaruSasu is basically canon, out of all of the popular/underrated pairings and does a person need to be born gay in order to love the same gender?
Uzumaki Naruto
He is an orphan, a prankster, a demon container. Despite the fact that he does not have a family to be there for him; when he's lonely and despite all the pain that the villagers has caused him; instead of feeling depressed he thinks about the good things, even though it seems impossible, he will always make the best out of everything. Uzumaki Naruto is not a quitter; he is the kind of guy that will lend a shoulder for someone to lean on when they're sad. Yes, indeed he was painfully hurt when he was little not knowing that the Kyuubi is inside of him, not knowing that the Kyuubi is the one who caused his pain. Instead of giving up he became a dreamer because one day his dream will come true so he can become hokage. Than everyone will notice him and treat him the way he wants to be treated. He wouldn't have become so strong if it wasn't for a certain boy named Uchiha Sasuke, the youngest genius of the Uchiha clan.
Uchiha Sasuke
Sasuke is not a cheery kid. He was rather a child who looked up to his older brother, Uchiha Itachi. Sasuke showed more of his true feelings when he was a kid, that was until everything became chaotic. The death of his clan by the hands of his brother. Sasuke always got the highest scores in his class so he can eventually get his dad to notice him, as much as Itachi gets to. Later on Sasuke becomes cold and arrogant after Itachi wiped out his prideful clan only leaving Sasuke as the last survivor. Sasuke is the type of person who follows his own path and ignores everyone else. Only showing his attention/respect towards the strong, not the weak. Not wanting anyone to interfere because it will only slow him down by killing Itachi but Sasuke shows worry and protect when someone is weaker than him, in order to prove that he is not weak. But there is only one person who gained Sasuke's respect, worry and protection and that person is Uzumaki Naruto.
Team 7
Naruto loves Sakura, Sakura loves Sasuke and Sasuke only wants to kill Itachi. It's a love triangle.
Sasuke-Even though Sakura is the only girl that Sasuke shows worry or protection to for example; he protect Sakura with the curse seal. Smirking sinisterly because he felt a surge f power, thinking that he is more stronger than Itachi, believeing that he can kill him with hate. Though knowing Sasuke, his only reason for 'being nice' is because that Sakura is weaker than himself, including Naruto. His respect for Sakura is not as high as his respect for Naruto because of her strength and she can not challenge his own, nor Naruto's strength. Sasuke knows this and you can really tell that Sasuke's softening up throughout the whole series becuse of Team 7, because they are always there for each other, mine one person. Sasuke even praised both Sakura and Naruto in the chuinn arc, since he's starting to understand, little by little to care for people again. He wants to get stronger, so he can protect the people important to him, so something like the massacure won't happen again, but Sakura keeps, praising that he is strong enough already. Always speaking about Itachi, Sasuke tells her about his weakness, which is Itachi, but he only says that when he feels weak. Whenever she is around Sakura she always constantly reminds him about his weak self, thus making him talk about Itachi out loud, dragging him down making him think about his past when his clan was murdered. He wants to show that he is not as weak as before by saving people in front of him. Because really, Sakura is not a angel of voice to Sasuke. She drags him down and reminds him of his weak strength, and Sasuke only talks about Itachi when he feels weak, when he feels that his strength is not even close to Itachi's. And whenever Sakura sees Sasuke she will always say the lines like, "OMG! You're so strong!" "Just as suspected from Sasuke-kun!" These lines will always drag him down, because he knows he is not strong, he's striving to be strong. Yes, Sasuke would kill to protect Sakura but he died in order to save Naruto, even though he was fully aware that he does not want to die until he kills Itachi (Note: Itachi is his life) but he still took the hit for Naruto. Sasuke is aware of Naruto's pain when they were kids (He even told Naruto to eat his lunch when he was starving during their first mission together). When Sasuke was dead he even told Naruto who he wants to kill. Yes, he has told Sakura about some parts about Itachi (He never said it was his own brother to her...) but Sasuke only talks about Itachi when he feels weak, when he feels that his strength is not even close to Itachi's level of strength. After the fight with Gaara, Sasuke believed that he is weaker than Naruto, that's why he was thinking about Itachi. Sasuke never ever showed any kindness towards Sakura because she does not even know how much pain it is to be alone, does not even have that slightest love from anyone, like himself. Sasuke is ultra sensitive to this topic because he knows how it's like being alone in the world with out a family, that's why he defend Naruto by yelling at Sakura. On the night when Sasuke left Konaha was the night Sakura confessed her undying love. But in the end no matter what she said Sasuke left, with no regret after he left her. (And remember Sasuke only acknowledges Sakura as a teammate and nothing more). And Sasuke did not even once show any slightest affection towards Sakura, just because one person likes the other doesn't mean the other would like that person back, this is the sad truth. Not every love can be return.
Sakura to Sasuke, is nothing more than a girl on her team.
Naruto- Naruto may not be as strong as Sasuke but he did show that he was the improved student in there training. In fact this was the very first reason how Naruto gained Sasuke's attention. Naruto is the perfect rival for Sasuke and Sasuke is the perfect rival for Naruto, both wanting to beat each others strength for different reasons, but even though they are rivals how are they friends? Some people say that their friendship started in their first training. And this is what I have to say in it, Naruto does not have a best friend but he does have Sasuke and Sasuke does not have a best friend but he does have Naruto and that's the closest what both of them can ever have. Well yes, they might have 'hated' each other, but Sasuke, during the chuuin arc, does not want Naruto to worry about his curse seal mark because Naruto will make a big fuss about it, but it can also mean that Sasuke shows that he cares for Naruto, not wanting Naruto to worry about him.
Even though Sasuke shows some attention to Kakashi, and he shows some attention to Sakura, but the only person Sasuke shows most of his attention to is towards Naruto, and that is the reason that Naruto is the only one who changed Sasuke. Throughout the whole first season of Naruto, he showed care for everyone in Team 7. All Naruto cares about is Team 7, but not everyone feels the same, like Sakura. The only one she always cared for was Sasuke and only Sasuke.
Sakura- She's not as strong as her other two teammates but she, at least tries. Even though she is smart in battle, she also needs at least some strength to last longer in battles. At the Forest of Death she wanted to protect the people who are important to her, so she attacked. But even though she tried Sasuke had already wakened up by his curse seal along with his sharigan on. Sasuke was waked up not because he heard the fight beside his body, instead he abruptly waked up by his uncontrolled curse seal activating. Remember Sasuke, at the first time can not control the curse seal; the curse seal was controlling him. But when Sakura stopped him when he was going to kill Dosu, the curse seal drained away. Though she might have been saved here, she's still worry about Sasuke's curse seal; he might get killed, kill someone else, become a murderer. She literally became scared for him, Sakura really does care about Sasuke but she is aware that Sasuke does not pay the slightest attention to the weak and he always pushes her away, but she still believes that she can make him change. In spite of all of her effort Sasuke continues to ignore it. The night when she confessed to him when Sasuke was leaving she asked him if he remembered there first time at the same bench where Sasuke called Sakura annoying because of Naruto. Even though Sakura tried her hardest to get Sasuke to stay, but when he was about to walk away she said she will die to protect Sauke and was going to scream. He then said "Thank you" and left her. That thank you probably meant for being my friend, even though I treated you so harshly. Sasuke can never love her the way she wants him too despite of all her efforts, instead she only pained Naruto until the very end. Just like how much Sasuke broke her heart is how many times she had broken Naruto's heart. After all of this, she finally notice at the end, only Naruto can get through Sasuke. Sakura may not be blind to Sasuke's pain but she is blind to Naruto's pain (until the timeskip). But remember she is not the only one who wants Sasuke's acknowledgment. Naruto also wants his acknowledgment. That’s the reason why he became his rival.
SasuxNaru- Feelings
When they were little, both of them are aware of each others pain. Naruto knew that Sasuke was a loner even though Naruto was really glad because he finally has someone to talk to; someone who could understand how painful he feels. But Sasuke did not talk to him because they were too different, forcing Naruto to get Sasuke's attention by becoming his rival. Even in Team 7 Naruto lied to himself but all he wanted was Sasuke to acknowledge him, to notice him. That's why, that time during the chuinn match when Sasuke said he wanted to fight Naruto, he was so happy because those words that Sasuke said was the first, he had ever had. Sasuke is the first one who has ever treated him as an equal. That's why Naruto has high hopes for Sasuke. But when Sasuke left, Naruto's heart shattered leaving him broken in pieces. Instead of Sakura being so heartbroken it was Naruto, the strong willed ninja was broken because of Sasuke's betrayal.
When both of them were fighting at the Valley of the End, Naruto asked if Sasuke could kill him calmly. Naruto was visibly shaken when Sasuke really wanted to kill him and also when he said he has indeed became his best friend. But to Naruto those words and his actions meant to him that it was worthless to him, Naruto cried when Sasuke's actions actually meant that. After the battle, it lead Sasuke visibly shaken leaving his best friend half dead, that he even lean over Naruto with the most heart wrenching expression. Only Naruto lead Sasuke to even look back, to see if he made the right decision. But in the end he chose strength. Despite all the bad things that happened to Naruto and Sasuke this is why I love it. They're both not aware just how much they love each other, the perfect love story. Even in the timeskip Naruto's main focus is to bring Sasuke back because he deeply cares for him. In every chapter he is always constantly thinking about Sasuke. Sasuke is practically his light, that gives him life, that keeps him going. Characters may not have to be 'gay' in order to love another, since love is genderless.

..This is just my random, useless essay about the bench scene in ep 109. On why, it's not a sasusaku, but a sakusasu. Since it's all about Sakura's feelings and not Sasuke's.

First season Sakura; first impression, useless fangirl who loves Sasuke since he's hot. You can tell that she can't defend herself but tries. She's always weak whenever she's around Sasuke because her teammates won't let her do anything. Her teammates spoil her, letting themselves do all the work, when the only girl in there team does nothing but cries and care for only one of her teammate, and that person is obviously Sasuke.
Sasuke's first impression, a p***k. He wants revenge for his clan, up till now the only thing he cared about was his clan and Itachi. He does not need anything else to fuel him, but revenge. Yet, his mindless thought of revenge came tumbling down because of his teammates. They showed him acceptance and things he haven't felt for so long.
His teammates changed him, and the person who was closest to him the most, is not Sakura. But Naruto.
Kaboto even blatantly admit that they had to do whatever it takes to get Sasuke away from Naruto. So that he will carry on with his 'revenge.'
Now, why is it so special that Sasuke left Sakura on the bench?

Apparently to some people, that's Sasuke's way of showing he 'loves' her. That he's not a spineless jerk and didn't leave Sakura on the ground, he lifted her on a bench so she can be comfy.... Wow. What great bs.
Is there nothing called simple convenience? Seriously, is there a park with no bench? I never even heard of a park with no bench. Either you are stupid, or you will say anything to make your otp seem real.
Another thing, can't it be that he cares for her?
Hell, in the whole season he started caring for a lot of people. Being nice to Naruto, accepting him as an opponent, being nice to Kakashi, hell. He completely changed from a spineless jerk and that was not because of Sakura. It was because of BOTH Sakura AND Naruto.
But it was Naruto who changed him the most. Sasuke grew because of Naruto and Naruto grew because of Sasuke, finally at the valley of death. No wonder Sasuke had such a pained expression.
Sakura on the other hand, was going to do anything to keep Sasuke from going. You can tell that she really cares about him, but it was not enough to keep Sasuke. She confessed, yet Sasuke thought nothing of it.
If Sasuke really loved Sakura at that point, why didn't he stay longer? Why is he not an emotional wreak when he left her? But he was for Naruto?
...It doesn't take a genius to know this answer. In the end, the winner is SasuNaru!..
Final end note:
The line that Sasuke said before he left, "you're annoying." Is not pro sasusaku. Yes, it's been a while and he still remembers which means he has also payed attention to Sakura but in a way, it's only because he cares. Not really an actual development for his 'love' to her.
